Hooves up if you like an ice lolly when it's hot?! Doc definitely does! 🍦😋

Our visitor centres are open as usual this weekend but with temperatures across parts of the UK 30°C from today onwards don't forget to drink plenty of water and bring your suncream if you are planning to visit us.

All of our centres are super dog-friendly with lots of water available but please do consider if it may be best to leave your four-legged friend at home where they will be much cooler too.

Huge thanks to all our wonderful care teams, who always go that little extra to make sure our residents are comfortable in extreme weather conditions - including making ice lollies like the one Doc is enjoying here! Don't worry, we have plenty of ice lollies for humans (and dogs) available in our cafes too! 😋🍦

Our Welfare line is closed over the weekend but if you have a welfare concern about any equine in that time please email [email protected]. For urgent assistance please contact the RSPCA Emergency line on 0300 1234 999.

His party will be on Sunday 5th July at Redwings Ada Cole in Essex which is open from 10am until 4pm, with lots of party fun and games happening between 11.00am and 1.30pm. Pop the date in your diary and come along to help him celebrate if you can!

Entry to Redwings is FREE, dogs on leads are welcome and our cafe and gift shop will both be open too.

Come and say hello at the Royal Norfolk Show 👋😎♥️

We're delighted to announce that we will be attending The Royal Norfolk Show again this year.

If you're planning to go to the show do please come and say hello to us at Stand 471 in the Equine Village.

You'll be able to browse through lots of preloved tack - sales of which support all of our rescued residents at Redwings.

We'd also love you to come and support our Guardians and their Redwings ponies who will be taking part in the Rescue Class, which takes place from 2:30 pm in the Ivan Cooke Ring on Thursday 25th June.

We are seeking three new Trustees to join our Board and help guide our mission to improve the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules plus help shape the future of the charity. ♥️🐴

As a Trustee, you'll play a vital role in the strategic leadership and governance of Redwings and this is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to a charity making a real difference everyday.

We are seeking candidates with professional expertise in:
• Legal
• Human Resources
• Finance/Accountancy

who have:
• Senior-level professional experience (ideally Board or leadership level)
• Knowledge of governance, finance, HR or legal frameworks
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• A collaborative, values-driven approach
• Commitment to Redwings’ mission and animal welfare

This pretty pair of best friends are looking for a home together as non-ridden companions.

Nine-year-old piebald pony Sophie is the more confident of the two, while 13-year-old Dewi, who is a gorgeous strawberry roan, is more nervous and often looks to Sophie for reassurance.

They need a home that can provide them with a routine and consistent handling. They can be stabled overnight, but they are happiest living out all year and need an experienced Guardian who can help them to settle into their new environment and is willing to work through any teething issues.

They are a sweet pair, and we hope to find them a loving home that will enjoy their inquisitive, quirky nature.

Are you a fan of cake by any chance Wiggins?! 🎂😋😆

Wonderful Adoption Star donkey Wiggins celebrated his 22nd birthday over the weekend at Redwings Aylsham in Norfolk, and lots of you turned up to party with him too! 🎉🥳

Wiggins, and his friend Rafi, really enjoyed tucking into their cakes whilst the team read out Wiggins' birthday cards. There were some treatballs visitors could help fill inside the visitor centre too, and then everybody did a wonderful job of singing 'Happy Birthday' as well!
