We're having the best summer ever here at Dragon Hall! ☀️

Throughout the summer holidays, we've been opening our doors every Monday & Tuesday for days packed with family fun, from pop-up crafts and big garden games to exploring the building with our activity packs.

The heatwaves may finally be behind us (🤞), but there's still plenty of summer fun to enjoy before the school year begins!

We'll be open every Monday and Tuesday at 10am–3pm, with hands-on craft activities taking place from 10am–12.30pm at almost every session. Find out more: https://buff.ly/R5Lxw3V

Earlier this month, our Gallery transformed into an exhibition space for Between the Lines, showcasing the incredible work created by our Story Maker participants.

Blending historical research with creative practice, participants transformed fragments from Norwich's past into imaginative, personal and finely crafted pieces.

The programme for Norwich Book Festival 2026 has just dropped, and we are so excited to be partnering with them on two events at our Literature House.

This October, discover the dark feminist fables of 'Hag: Forgotten Folklores Retold' with acclaimed writers Irenosen Okojie and Emma Glass as they dive into the untold stories of our isles, journeying through magic, mermaids and the monsters that haunt us.

What you'll explore:
✍️ Finding inspiration and generating ideas
✍️ Creating vivid imagery and symbolism
✍️ Crafting powerful metaphors
✍️ Using white space and visual layout creatively
✍️ Experimenting with different poetic voices
✍️ Developing rhythm, rhyme and musicality

Your tutor Helen will read up to 12 of your poems over 12 weeks and offer personalised, constructive feedback.
