Voluntary Norfolk is working with an independent researcher to better understand what our communities need and what their experience with local support is.

We're very proud of everyone who has taken part in our peer support groups over the last year - there's been more than 1,000 of you! 🤗

The ultimate goal of our groups is to help people reconnect with their community and it's been amazing to see everyone grow in our groups.

Last year, our Life Connectors gave 1-to-1 support to 710 new clients to help them reduce their social isolation - 200 more than the year before.

This is just an indication of the importance of projects tackling loneliness.

All our groups are open to everyone - no judgements or outcomes. Just a warm drink in a safe environment with an opportunity to socialise and make new friends.

Today is Send a Card to Friend Day 💌

With so much communication taking place online these days, a personalised, handwritten note is a wonderful day of showing old friends that they are remembered appreciated. 🫶

You can also get creative and write a short poem or share old stories and photos 🧑‍🎨

Everyone should feel comfortable talking about mental health. We have several groups running in South Norfolk and Norwich where we created a safe space for people to meet and talk without judgement. 🤗
