Celebrating 100 years of an incredible life and 76 years of SWE. 💜

SWE founding member Alma Kuppinger Forman, P.E., F. SWE, celebrated her 100th birthday earlier this year. As the first woman to earn a civil engineering degree from Drexel Institute of Technology, Alma has spent a lifetime breaking barriers, building community, and helping pave the way for generations of women engineers.

In a special conversation with SWE, Alma reflects on SWE's growth, her memories as a founding member, and the lessons she hopes to pass along to current and future members.

Her advice after a century of experience? “Respect. Have respect for everything.”
