What can you expect at our first Thrive Together event? 👇

We’ve designed the day to bring charities together to share ideas, rethink approaches and build practical skills that can strengthen their work:

- Connect with peers and learn from others working alongside children and families experiencing poverty across London.
- Rethink impact and explore new ways to understand, measure and communicate the difference your organisation makes.
- Build practical skills through breakout workshops on engaging corporate support, fundraising in the AI era and pitching your charity through storytelling.

Exactly one week to go until the Royal Parks Half Marathon! ⏰

Very soon, 30 runners from our corporate partners will be taking on 13.1 miles through London to raise vital funds for The Childhood Trust.

Every mile they run and every pound they raise will help us support children growing up in poverty across London, funding practical and emotional support that helps children be healthier, safer, more resilient and confident.

Good luck to all 30 runners as you enter the final month of training! We’ll be there on the day, cheering you on every step of the way.

At our first Thrive Together event, award-winning journalist, broadcaster and storyteller Peg Alexander will lead our 'Pitching your charity' workshop, exploring how charities can communicate their story to engage funders, partners, supporters and the people they work with.

As Peg puts it:
“When it comes down to it, everything is about how you tell your story. From funding to influence to service users and clients, they all want to know your story.”

Drawing on her experience across the public and voluntary sectors, Peg will share practical insight into how to tell your charity’s story with clarity, purpose and impact.

Thank you to the team at ING for transforming two bedrooms on this project! Both look amazing and we're grateful for the team's hard work in painting, decorating and building furniture!

A transformed bedroom can make a lasting difference to everyday life, supporting better sleep, readiness to learn, development and wellbeing, as well as giving children a space where they can feel safe, comfortable and at home.

54 miles. 7 hours 50 minutes. £320 raised. 🚲

A huge thank you to Kiran for taking on the London to Brighton Bike Ride in aid of The Childhood Trust, and for beating her fundraising target!

Kiran chose to fundraise for us because of her own experience of raising her daughter in poverty. She became a mum at 16 and, during those early years, her local gurdwara provided free hot food for families in need.

Now, 21 years later, her daughter is working in communications, and Kiran wanted to give back to help other children and families facing poverty.

Thank you, Kiran, for taking on the challenge and helping us support children growing up in poverty across London. ❤️

Transforming Spaces is helping tackle child poverty in London by creating safe, comfortable and inspiring spaces where children can sleep peacefully, play freely, learn confidently and grow.

Recently, a team from ING volunteered with us to transform* a bedroom for two sisters. Their positivity and understanding throughout the day helped create a space the girls absolutely love, describing their new bedroom as “Pinterest-worthy!”

A transformed bedroom can make a lasting difference to everyday life, supporting better sleep, readiness to learn, development and wellbeing, as well as giving children a space where they can feel safe, comfortable and at home.

A huge thank you to the ING team for giving their time and energy to help make this transformation possible. Your contribution is helping us create spaces that can have a lasting impact on children and young people growing up in poverty.
