A Tribute to Andrew Scadding

We are deeply saddened to learn that Andrew Scadding, our former CEO, sadly passed away last week.

Andrew was the heart and soul of our charity for over 18 years. His compassion, resolve and deep understanding of the issues facing children in Thailand were the foundations of the charity that Safe Child Thailand has become.

Not only was Andrew the CEO of Safe Child Thailand (then known as Thai Children's Trust), he was also the Chair of Child Rescue Nepal and on the Board of Directors at Point B Design + Training in Myanmar. He dedicated the latter part of his career to protect and empower children and young people in Asia.

Those who had met Andrew undoubtedly felt captivated by his vast knowledge, his impeccable judge of character and his ability to bring together people and forge partnerships for the benefit of under-served children and communities. Above all, Andrew was a true gentleman, whose compassion and wisdom was inspirational to all.

Our thoughts and prayers go to Andrew's family and friends at this sad time.
