Today marks two years since our founder Lord Herman Ouseley passed away.

As Black History Month celebrates Honouring Our Communities, we remember someone who dedicated his life to making football a place where Black communities could feel heard, represented and protected.

Herman challenged the game when change was met with resistance. His courage helped make football a more inclusive place, and his influence continues to shape our work today.

Two years on, we honour Herman by continuing the work he started and carrying his legacy forward. 💚

💚 Every fan deserves a matchday experience where they feel welcome and included.

Our friends at Level Playing Field have launched their 2026 Annual Fan Survey, giving disabled supporters the opportunity to share their experiences and help shape meaningful improvements across the game.

What is Kick It Out doing to make Football United? ⚽

Over the last year, we’ve been working towards four goals:
🤝 Everyone is included
⚽ Everyone is represented on the pitch
💼 Everyone can lead off the pitch
🫵 Everyone stands up to discrimination

One year into our Football United strategy, we’ve reached thousands through education, strengthened reporting routes, influenced change across the game and built new partnerships that are helping make football more welcoming for all.

We’re proud of the progress we’ve made alongside our partners, but we know there’s still more to do to make everyone feel they belong in football.

🗣️ “Do I have a right to be here? Do I belong?”

For Priyanka, being a football fan has always been about more than what happens on the pitch.

As an Aston Villa fan, co-chair of Villa Bellas and Her Game Too ambassador, Priyanka is helping create spaces where more women, girls and non-binary supporters can feel they belong.

From her family’s connection to Villa to finding her own place in the game, Priyanka reflects on identity, belonging and how far football has come.
