❤️☕🎙️ Something new is coming to CAV…

We’ve always believed that some of the most important change starts with a conversation.

So, put the kettle on and join us for TEA WITH CAV ❤️💛
A new podcast bringing together real people, real experiences and real conversations about the issues affecting our young people, families and communities.

Some conversations will be difficult. Some will be emotional. Some will inspire. But all of them will matter.

We’ll listen to lived experience, amplify voices that aren’t always heard and talk openly about violence, exploitation, grief, VAWG, prevention, community and change.

☕ Grab a cuppa.
🎙️ Pull up a chair.
❤️ And join the conversation.

❤️ CAV Support Afternoon ❤️

This Saturday, CAV is bringing together our mums for a relaxed afternoon in Richmond, London, a chance to walk, talk, relax, connect and spend time with other bereaved mums who truly understand. 💛

There’s no pressure and no agenda. Just a safe and understanding space to talk openly, support one another, share experiences or simply enjoy being together.

❤️ Children are also very welcome to join us.

We have also created a CAV Bereaved Mums WhatsApp Support Group so that the support doesn’t end after the afternoon.

Even if you can’t join us this Saturday, you are still very welcome to be part of the group. It’s a safe space to chat, connect with other bereaved mums, share experiences, information and upcoming events, and support one another through the days when having someone who understands can mean so much.

📩 DM CAV for details of Saturday’s meet-up or if you would like to be added to our WhatsApp support group.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. ❤️

Exploitation isn’t always obvious.

A young person being exploited may not see themselves as a victim.
What can begin as friendship, attention, gifts, money, lifts or a sense of belonging can gradually become grooming, pressure, threats and control.

At CAV – Communities Against Violence CIC, we work with young people, families, schools and communities to raise awareness of exploitation, recognise the warning signs and provide support before situations escalate.

Exploitation can take many forms, including criminal exploitation, county lines, sexual exploitation and grooming and it CAN happen to ANY young person.

Changes in behaviour, unexplained money or gifts, going missing, new friendship groups, fearfulness, or secrecy can all be signs that something isn’t right.

Most importantly, we need young people to know

❤️ You can ask for help.
❤️ You will be listened to.
❤️ You deserve support, not judgement.

Prevention starts with awareness. Protection starts with noticing. And change starts with having the conversation.

A young person is never “just another statistic.”

Behind every headline is a son, daughter, brother, sister, friend or classmate whose life matters.

At CAV, we’re committed to educating, supporting and empowering young people before they reach crisis point. Prevention starts with listening, understanding and creating opportunities, not judgement.

Let’s continue building communities where every young person feels valued, supported and hopeful about their future.

Together, we can create lasting change!!
