Children in Gaza have endured so much.

Today marks 3 years since the October 2023 attacks in Israel and the ensuing escalation of war, which has devastated lives across Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, and left children still living through a humanitarian catastrophe.

Despite the welcome announcement of the ceasefire agreement a year ago, UNICEF reported in August that at least 300 children in Gaza had been killed in the 300 days following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, an average of one child every day.

Repeated violations of the ceasefire, the collapse of essential services and the severe restrictions on movement of relief supplies and humanitarian workers have left most of the people in Gaza struggling to survive, with children paying the highest price.

We demand all parties uphold International Humanitarian Law, protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, and ensure that children are never caught in the crossfire of conflict.

Meet Mamah and Fatmata. Living in Sierra Leone town and helping dismantling generational taboos about contraception, periods and consent.

Of all the unfair terms written into girlhood, few cut deeper than the one over her own body. But this clause is being rewritten.

Both girls attend an adolescent-friendly centre supported by Plan International, where any girl can walk in and, often for the first time, ask the questions no one else will answer. Without judgement.

This is what change looks like. And this October, you can be part of it. What a few days at Labour Party Conference 2026!

Members of our Youth Advisory Panel had the chance to meet MPs and ministers, share their views on the issues that matter to young people, and talk about our recent report on online harms and its impact on girls and boys.

Most importantly, we’re so proud they left feeling more confident in using their voices and advocating for change. 🗣️✨

And after three busy days, they’re feeling hopeful for the future and about what young people can achieve.

Everyday our feed shows us what it thinks we want to see.

But for many young people, it's showing harmful misogynistic attitudes and toxic behaviours.

Our new research found that within as little as 20 minutes of opening an account on TikTok, girls’ and boys’ feeds begin to diverge, with girls served content of unrealistic standards for how to look and behave, while boys see content promoting narrow ideas about masculinity.

The current law tells tech companies they should keep children safe online, but fails to clearly define what that means. It's time to change the conditions online and design social media products that put young people’s safety front and centre.

Girls in Gaza are facing escalating risks of gender-based violence, with a UNFPA report warning of a severe rise in the number of early and forced marriages.

We know that during times of crisis girls are more at risk of violence, sexual exploitation, unwanted pregnancy and forced marriage.

When families struggle they are often forced into unimaginable choices to survive.

We can not let this crisis continue to rob girls of their childhood and their futures.

Women living in displacement camps in Gaza shared their experiences and what they'd seen with UNFPA. Follow the link in our stories to read more.
