Making Music Day 2026: FREE event at National Museum in Cardiff between 11am - 3pm. An annual event which is always a real treat and celebration of music with just a few of our fantastic South Wales music - makers. Barry Community Choir has been invited back for our 3rd consecutive year - come along and join us - we sing at 1pm. See you there 👍👀♥️.

Making Music keeps you younger, as is shown in this latest study:

"In another test, PhenoAge, which estimates biological age, people who engaged in arts and cultural activities at least weekly were a year younger on average compared to those who rarely engaged. People who did exercise at least weekly were just over half a year younger on average."

Regularly taking part in arts activities such as reading, listening to music or visiting a gallery or museum may slow the pace of biological ageing, suggests a new study by UCL researchers.
