London Friend London Friend promotes health and well-being for le***an, gay, bisexual and trans people. We’re the oldest UK LGBTQI charity.

We support people coming out, going out, and when life gets difficult along the way. Covid-19 update:

We're unable to provide face to face support at present but are still working online. Our counselling service and Antidote drug and alcohol service are open to new referrals. Since lockdown began we have new one to one and group support to help you manage your mental health and wellbeing. Some of our regular support and social groups are also running online. A week ago, some of our volunteers and staff had the pleasure of visiting Buckingham Palace for a community tour. ✨

It was a fantastic opportunity to explore this iconic landmark, learn more about its history, and spend time together outside of our usual day-to-day work.

A big thank you to the team at for the warm welcome, and to Dorothy, our guide, for a brilliant tour full of fascinating stories and insights. We really appreciated the time, knowledge, and enthusiasm!

🌈 Silver Pride London 2026 returns on Sunday, 4 October 2026, celebrating LGBTQIA+ people aged 50+ with a day of community, connection and entertainment.

Expect a fantastic programme of live entertainment and dancing, with tea and cake to start the day, a full buffet, and pizza available throughout.

📣 We are hiring - Come and join the London Friend team! 🏳️‍🌈

We’re looking for an LGBTQ+ drug and alcohol recovery worker to join an exciting pilot role, with a focus on supporting LGBTQ+ clients and those engaged in chemsex who are also experiencing homelessness, including rough sleepers.

💼 Salary: £31,827 per year.
⏰ Contract: initially fixed-term to 30th June 2028 – the role is anticipated to be funded for a further two years.
