How could the Equality (Race and Disability) Bill shape the future of equality law in the UK?

📅Join us on 28 May, 14:00–15:00, for a Policy Action Forum hosted by Action for Race Equality, as we prepare a sector-wide response to the Government’s call for evidence.

🗣️We’ll be discussing key areas in the draft Bill, including:

• Ensuring the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) is upheld
• Strengthening protection from combined discrimination
• Commencing the socio-economic duty
• Making equal pay rights enforceable

This is your opportunity to feed directly into ARE’s written submission and help shape what happens next. Attendees will be credited as contributors unless they request otherwise.

🎙️ Back in October, we launched “A Question of Colour” — a podcast series born from the voices of young Black boys at Oasis Hadley Academy, as part of our Race Equality Action Projects (REAPs).

Through powerful dramatisations, these boys shared their thoughts on education, media portrayals, and the legacy of moments like the New Cross Fire. Their stories offer a rare glimpse into the perspectives of young Black boys navigating today’s world.🌍
