πŸ’™ Suzie and Denise are two of our friendly Dementia Advisers here at the Dementia Hub. They offer information and support to both people living with dementia, as well their loved ones that care for them.

Many family members who care for their loved ones don’t see themselves as carers - they often tell us that they are just doing what anyone would do if their family member needed extra support! However, we understand that caring for someone else can come with its own challenges, and that’s what we’re here for.

If you care for someone living with dementia and would like to know what information and support is out there, contact our Dementia Hub

πŸŽ‰β³ Just 7 Days to Go Until ! β³πŸŽ‰

We're excited to be counting down to Carers Week 2026, where this year's theme is "Building Carer Friendly Communities" πŸ˜οΈπŸ’™

Every day, Carers of all ages show incredible strength, compassion, and resilience πŸ’ͺ❀️. They provide vital support to loved ones at home while balancing work, education, family life, and many other responsibilities. Too often, their dedication goes unseen, but during Carers Week, we're shining a spotlight on the amazing difference they make. 🌟

πŸ“’ Stay tuned throughout the week to see what we have planned!

β˜• Next Monday, Sutton Council, The Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Muhammad Sadiq, has kindly invited Carers to join him for tea and nibbles.

🎨🎢 Meanwhile, our fantastic at will be hosting a special showcase, sharing their hobbies, interests, skills, and talents. We can't wait to celebrate their creativity and achievements! 🌈✨

Let's come together to recognise, support, and celebrate Carers in our community. πŸ’™

Jill volunteers within our Prevention & Wellbeing services, leading Social Strolls and assisting with running our popular Film Club. She also previously volunteered with our Digital service, offering digital support to keep older people connected. She brings a positive and supportive energy to her roles and we're grateful to have her as part of the team. Thank you, Jill! ✨
