We recently enjoyed a very special day with Help at Home client Ronald, helping him to enjoy his 100th birthday 🎉🎈🥳
His dedicated Age UK Sutton Support Workers brought him a cake and a balloon for his special day, making sure to celebrate Ronald in style!
We're so pleased that Ronald proudly received his birthday card from the King, and that the Help at Home team could be part of such a special day! 😊

We're looking for an organised, proactive Help at Home Coordinator to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a varied and rewarding role coordinating support for older residents and acting as the first point of contact for both our clients and Help at Home Support Worker team, ensuring excellent customer service and that the service runs smoothly every day

✅ Salary: £27,000
✅ 35 hours per week
✅ Permanent contract
✅ Based in central Sutton

If you've been enjoying the action at Wimbledon and feeling inspired to pick up a racket, our Walking Tennis sessions could be just what you're looking for!

With simple rules and no running or jumping, Walking Tennis is a low-impact, accessible version of the game that's perfect whether you're trying tennis for the first time or returning after a break. Led by a fully qualified coach, sessions are fun, inclusive and welcoming, offering a way to keep active while enjoying the social side of sport in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Earlier this year, members of our Walking Tennis groups had the opportunity to meet Katie Boulter during a special Tea & Tennis session at the National Tennis Centre – a memorable experience for everyone involved!

💙 June was another busy month of supporting older people across Sutton

Throughout June, our teams continued to provide advice, practical support and companionship to older local people, helping them stay independent, connected and informed.

🔹 We supported 754 local people
🔹 120 people came to us for help for the first time
🔹 70% of new enquiries were supported through our Community Support service, receiving information and guidance on a wide range of issues
🔹 Our Help at Home team completed 934 visits, helping older people remain safe and independent in their own homes
