Aid to the Church in Need helps Christians in more than 140 countries, especially where they suffer See our Grant Guidelines at www.acn-intl.org

Each year Aid to the Church in Need makes grants to help fund around 5,000 projects around the world, primarily in the following areas:

• provision of catechetical material and books
• broadcasting the Faith
• help with church buildings
• support for the training of seminarians
• grants for the formation of religious and catechists
• subsidies for priests through grants and Mass stipends
• emergency aid to refugees
• provision of transport for those involved in the Church’s mission. Applications for funding must have the approval of the applicant’s local Bishop and applications must be directed to ACN’s Project Headquarters.

🙏 A Million Children Praying the Rosary for Peace 🌍📿
A huge thank you to St Agnes Primary School, Cricklewood, for welcoming ACN UK to join the children in praying the Rosary as part of the One Million Children Praying the Rosary campaign.

The children pray the Rosary together every Thursday in school, and today they gathered at the grotto of Our Lady in the school playground to pray especially for peace in Ukraine.

Together, we prayed the First Glorious Mystery: the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, placing our hope in the risen Christ and praying for peace throughout the world.

So far, more than 1,037,038 Children praying in 2026 children worldwide have joined this beautiful initiative!

Padre Pio famously said, “When a million children pray the Rosary, the world will change.”

May Our Lady hear the prayers of these children and bring peace to Ukraine and to all those suffering from war and conflict. 🙏🕊️

🙏 Saint John Henry Newman was born in London in 1801. An ordained Anglican priest, Fellow of Oriel College, Oxford, and leader of the Oxford Movement, On 19 September 2010, he was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI and canonised by Pope Francis on 13 October 2019. On 1 November 2025, he was given the title of Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIV.

Andrew has made it to Monte Cassino! 🙌

AN Orthodox priest narrowly escaped being shot after armed men opened fire during an outbreak of violence in a Christian village in western Syria.

Violence broke out on the night of 3rd October following an altercation between young people from the Christian village of Al-Suqaylabiyah and the neighbouring Muslim village of Al-Qalaa (also known as Qalaat Al-Madiq).

🌹 TODAY, OCTOBER 7, WE PRAY THE ROSARY TOGETHER

Today we celebrate Our Lady of the Rosary and bring our week of prayer to a close. Children, families, schools and parishes around the world are united in one prayer for peace and unity.

Throughout this week, we have prayed for countries at war, children forced to flee their homes, persecuted Christians, unity and hope. Today, we place all these intentions in the hands of Mary and ask her to bring them to her Son, Jesus.

📿 One million children. Millions of Hail Marys. One prayer: may peace reach the whole world.

🙏 TODAY WE PRAY FOR CHILDREN LIVING IN WAR

Today, we pray especially for the children who live in countries affected by war. For those who are afraid, who have had to leave their homes, who cannot go to school or who have lost someone they love.

Let us ask Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to protect every child living in fear and danger. May He bring peace to their countries and comfort to their families. May He touch the hearts of those who make war and help them choose peace instead.

Jesus, protect all children and give them a future filled with peace and hope. 🕊️
