💃 Volunteer Story: Mary | Music & Movement 🎶

Meet Mary, a volunteer dance tutor with Sutton Befrienders Music and Movement, who uses her background in dance and music to help older people get moving, have fun and, in her words, “give them a lift.” ❤️

Through music, movement and a little bit of joy, Mary helps create sessions where older people can stay active, connect with others and enjoy themselves.

Mary shares what volunteering means to her and the difference she sees it making for others.

We'll help you build your confidence, work on your CV, prepare for interviews, explore your options and figure out what comes next.

Our Sutton Befrienders project is growing its sociable walking groups, helping people across the community get active, enjoy the outdoors and meet others in a safe and friendly environment.

Whether you’re looking to enjoy a gentle walk with some company or simply want to get out and about, everyone is welcome. Come along on your own or bring a friend – there’s no need to book.
