We are pleased to share our September CPD programme, with a range of sessions designed to support your professional development.

This month, we will explore a variety of important themes, including lived experience and belonging, honour-based abuse, building a successful freelance business, and the vital role of public service interpreters.

We are also delighted to facilitate our biannual joint training with police negotiators. If you haven’t registered yet, there is still time to take advantage of this unique opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable insight into this specialist area.

The Medical Interpreting Training Programme (MITP) launches on 15 September. Places are limited, so don’t miss the opportunity to register and further develop your expertise in medical interpreting.

It has been a month since the Ex:Change conference came to an end. We have shared many posts and highlights since then, but we would like to use this final post to express our sincere gratitude to the organisers for the fantastic opportunity kindly extended to the AIT Board to attend this incredible event.

We had an amazing time and were delighted to meet so many colleagues who shared our enthusiasm for the conference and its values. Ex:Change was a truly inspiring gathering — a place where we could engage with outstanding speakers, exchange ideas with fellow professionals, reconnect with old friends, and build new relationships.

It was an opportunity to share experiences, learn new things, explore new perspectives, and make plans for the future. The energy, openness, and sense of community made this event truly special.

Thank you once again to the organisers and everyone involved for creating such a memorable experience. We hope to see you all again very soon!
