From national titles to international finals, at just 14 years old Ellie Hickie is continuing to make waves in junior surfing 🌊🏄‍♀️

The talented young surfer enjoyed a breakthrough year, claiming the U14 English National title and winning the 2025 Surfing England Junior Surf Series before testing herself against Europe’s best at the U14 European Finals in Tenerife.

Whether she’s training at home, chasing waves in Bali or competing on the international stage, Ellie’s commitment to improvement shines through in everything she does.

We’re incredibly excited to introduce SportsAid Connect, powered by RBC!

A brand-new app and website, and the first independent, cross-sport community platform of its kind for SportsAid-supported athletes, parents, caregivers and alumni.

For years, SportsAid has supported emerging athletes with funding and opportunities to help them progress in sport. But we also know the journey involves so much more, not only for athletes, but also for the parents and caregivers supporting them every step of the way.

The early mornings. The travel. The balancing act between education, training and wellbeing. The pressure, uncertainty and challenges that can often feel isolating.

Too often, athletes and families don’t know where to turn for trusted support, especially when expert guidance can be costly and difficult to access.

SportsAid Connect has been created to bring people together through those experiences.

As a safe, private and moderated space, the platform combines expert guidance, practical resources and a supportive community where athletes, parents and caregivers can connect with others who truly understand the athlete pathway.

Made possible through the support of RBC, SportsAid Connect represents an exciting new chapter in how we support young people and the wider communities around them.

We’re so proud to launch this new space for the SportsAid community and can’t wait to see it grow.

From trying wheelchair basketball during lockdown to representing Great Britain on an International stage, Henley Cavanagh is definitely a rising star!

At just 18, he’s already won U23 Wuropean gold, U23 World Championship bronze, and earned his first GB Men’s call up.

A journey built on hard work, resilience, and big Paralympic dreams, we’re proud to support him to continue chasing every opportunity 💪🏼
