🍁You can’t make great food without great produce. I think the Bistro Autumn Salad is my favourite yet. Green leaves tossed in a honey and Dijon mustard vinaigrette, pickled red onions, Comte cheese, toasted hazelnuts and (optional) prosciutto, crowned with the exquisite figs we bought from JuliansVeg 🍁

🇫🇷Menu for 2nd to 4th September 🇫🇷 🍏🍂😍I have been listening to the rain and playing about with some gorgeous seasonal recipes that I cannot wait to share with you. Next week, the beloved Summer salad gives way to an equally beautiful Autumn version with fresh figs, toasted hazelnuts and Comte cheese. Mushrooms take centre stage, where they belong. 🍷With the first hints of Autumn in the morning air, one of the seasonal treats in store for our diners this week is this deeply savoury mushroom bourguignon. A delicious recipe which calls for a whole bottle of Pinot Noir, which I was delighted to be able to purchase in Town Yetholm Village Shop 🍷Served with creamy mashed potatoes, butter-wilted spinach and fresh blackberries 🇫🇷❤️

🥳The start of another great week of Bistro dining, and we kicked off with a fully booked Wednesday lunch 🥳. Our freshly churned tiny-batch sorbet is made from fresh fruit, a little sugar water to adjust its sweetness and absolutely nothing else. Today’s blackberry offering couldn’t be more beautiful if she tried ❤️
