What a fabulous 2 days we have just had hosting RHET Scottish Borders Countryside Initiative Estate Days for Kelso High School and Eyemouth High Schoolโs outgoing S2 and S1 respectively.
Over the 6 sessions offered each day, the young people learnt about different aspects of the estate and were made aware of the wide ranging job opportunities and career paths involved.
Huge thanks go to the estateโs gamekeeper, Cheviot Trees, The Tweed Foundation, RHET volunteer farmers, Field to Fork The Hirsel for their informative and passionate input, and to the volunteer group leaders each day.
