The clocks go back on 25 October, which means darker evenings are officially on the way.

That might make now a good time to sort out the spot where you will be spending a few more evenings at home.

A comfortable chair. A sofa with room to stretch out. A lamp for the corner. Maybe even a side table for the tea.

Furniture Now! has a changing range of new and reused furniture and home essentials across Eastbourne or Lewes.

Pop in and see what’s available.

Got an eye for making things look good?

One of the ways you can volunteer with Furniture Now! is by helping us merchandise our stores.

That might mean creating welcoming displays, arranging furniture and homeware, helping customers find what they need or supporting the team around the shop floor and tills.

Volunteering here is not all about heavy lifting.

If you enjoy interiors, retail, organisation or simply making a space feel inviting, we would love to hear from you.

Ask us about volunteering.

Before you throw it away, could someone else use it?

18 October is National Reuse Day, a chance to look again at the things we already have and think about how they could stay in use for longer.

A good sofa, table, wardrobe or household item might no longer work for your home, but that does not mean it has reached the end of its life.

Where suitable for reuse, Furniture Now! can help good-quality items find another home.

Support reuse. Support local. Support people.

Not everything needs replacing.

17 October is International Repair Day, a good reminder that keeping useful things in circulation matters.

Repairing, reusing and passing good-quality items on can help reduce waste and give household items a much longer life.

That same idea sits at the heart of Furniture Now!.

Donate furniture that still has life left in it. Choose reused when you can. Keep useful things useful.

Good for people. Good for the planet.
