Practice is under way for the British XC short course and course is set up and ready to go for the full XCO championships tomorrow

The British XC champs are taking over at Ae this weekend starting from Friday lunchtime ( see info elsewhere)

The trails closed will be :-
Omega Man
Downhill all of it
Shredder
As the racers will be on the fireroad between omega man and the downhill ( the middle road) we cannot use the trails above
As the racers will be climbing the omega man climb and some berms the Red route will have to divert down the wild trail “Alan Potts” it will be taped off after that
The only natural trails that will be rideable from the top of the downhill will be “Stumpy” which leads nicely to IVO upper and TTT upper and Rainbow Road
Craigshields and Rollingstone are unaffected as is anything rideable on Green Hill.
As the racers will be using BlueRum, red rum, lower IVO exit, Fraser’s and lower TTT then all these trails will be closed

Forest of Ae - Event Notification

The SXC - Lloyd National MTB Cross Country Championships are taking place in Ae this weekend. A Section 11 is in place from Friday noon until Sunday 6pm and covers Ae Naze car park, Omega Man, Shredder and the Ae Downhill.

There will be no vehicle access to Ae Naze car park during the event and the above trail sections will be closed to the public. All other MTB trails and our walking trails remain open. Please park at the Cafe car park and follow all event marshal instructions when visiting Ae this weekend.

Our 'Young Gunz' Under 12 Go Ride Skills Session is all about having fun on bikes. There'll be skills coaching, mini races, fun challenges and even some prizes up for grabs!

It's a brilliant way to build confidence, make new friends and soak up the atmosphere of the British Championships.
