An opportunity for a mobile catering unit (tenant to provide) has arisen at the Forest of Ae, Ae Village, Nr. Dumfries, DG1 1QB.

Interested businesses should be able to operate minimum hours of Saturday and Sunday from 11-4 with the opportunity for seven days per week and longer hours. The initial license term will run to the end of 2027 but there may be opportunity for extension beyond.

Ae Trail Maintenance sessions

Starting on Saturday 13june we will be having the first of our FLS lead trail maintenance sessions which we hope over the coming 6 months or so will grow into a regular “trailfairies” asset to ourselves and our surroundings. Carrying out basic but necessary tasks on our waymarked FLS routes on a voluntary basis.
This is another step on our journey building our relationship with FLS and leading to more stewardship of our trails.
We hope that as many of our DiRRtt trained leaders can join us on the first session as possible, numbers are limited to 12 per session at the moment.

First session Saturday 13june 2026 at 9:00am

Luke Hale and his friend had their Yeti 160E bikes stolen over the weekend while staying at Glentress and they’re absolutely gutted.

If you see either of them advertised for sale, or hear of anything that could help them track them down, please get in touch.

They’re offering a £500 reward for information that leads to their recovery.

The British University and Colleges Sports (bucs) are holding their enduro champs at Ae this coming Saturday 6th June, good luck to all competing and thank you to our friends at PMBA enduro for bringing the event here.
Competition will be entirely on the downhill side of the forest as per the attached map, full details are in the link.
If you are riding please heed the marshals instructions
If you are free to marshal we could still do with a few 👍

Grant from the SDA is looking for some help for this weekend

Morning everyone, this weekend we have round 2 of the Scottish Downhill series coming to Ae forest. If you are after something to do or entertain the kids please come along to watch!

If you or anyone you know wants to earn some pocket money or support the races then we are in need of some more marshals (ideally 18 or over) to help on the hill Saturday and Sunday. You get £100 for the weekend and lunches provided both Saturday and Sunday.

You will be trackside to watch the action and have a radio to keep in coms with the event team to help run a fun and safe race.
