Our aim, to provide Dumfries town with a community drop-in space for adults. Our doors will be open to everyone as we believe regardles of circumstance or situation we all deserve companionship whilst being supported in a friendly and safe space. We plan for various services available to help you get back on your feet such as:
Comfortable seating with dinning area, computer zone, quiet space, des
ign station and quiet library. Easy access toilets.
• Providing cooked evening meal's, for people on low income, temporary accommodation or feel there struggling.
• Running groups to build on meal prep, cooking nutritional food. Understanding budgeting, Kichen safety, kitchen hygiene practices enabling independence.
•Also build on personal domestic skills eg, household duties, laundry practices, hazard safety in the home.
• Offering support for individuals attending appointments or struggling with stress, confidence or anxiety.
• Access to laptops, as part of life skills programme. Promoting knowledge of applications, document building, setting up installation programs, on-line training courses and 'get to know the tech' learning the basics in tablets and laptops.
• Offering means to wash dry launder clothes on site.
