A night of ceilidh dancing and contributions as we bid farewell to Steph!

After 15 years working at Loch Arthur, Steph retired on 15 May. During that time, she went all the way from working in the old farm shop to becoming part of the management team. She has been such an upright and supportive presence in the community.

We'll miss you, Steph! ❤️

Lady Maisery is an incredible band, bringing their intricate arrangements, soaring harmonies and just fabulous music.

Music is an important part in our Community and we are lucky enough to have a beautiful hall with incredible acoustics.
It is the centre of Loch Arthur, so many events are happening here. Part of those are concerts and we enjoy putting on fantastic musicians.

Last Friday we had the fantastic The Bookshop Band playing for us - such a treat, thank you again, Beth and Ben!

Last week we celebrated Whitsun and took a Community holiday on Whit Monday. A big group of us went to Carrick beach and had a fantastic BBQ together.
Relaxing in the sun in brilliant company, swimming or paddling in the surprisingly warm sea and some kayaking for a few of us.

Such a perfect day out.

Yesterday we came together as a Community to spray the biodynamic preparation 500 over our fields in beautiful sunshine.

We are incredibly excited to have the fantastic trio Lady Maisery coming to our hall at Loch Arthur on the 19th of July.

Individually three multi award-winning artists, Lady Maisery form a unified voice, carrying stories of sisterhood, human struggle, the joy of living and the vitality of song with the “freshest possible take on traditional music” (Folk Radio UK). Their long-standing effervescent collaboration has been described as “adventurous and beautiful” (Mark Radcliffe, Radio 2) “exquisite and thrilling” (The Guardian) with “a generosity of spirit and joie de vivre that seems to emanate from every minute of their recorded output as well as from their exuberant live shows” (Folk Radio UK).

SUMMER GIGS 🌿 ☀️ We’re off to play in some gorgeous places this summer and we can’t wait! We’ll be playing some special acoustic gigs in Scotland, the gorgeous Cumberlandia festival in Cumbria, then over to Europe for gigs in Germany and our first ever performance in Norway!
