Fresh from a successful week of testing in Coventry, DAO CreaTech arrives in London on Friday, 20 March 2026. For one day only, we are hosting a spectacular collaboration with our longtime partners from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM).

We are bringing together a world-class team of dancers, singers, and somatic practitioners;including faculty members Kara Jhalak Miller and Sami L.A. Akuna, to lead three distinct experiences across the city.

The London Residency: Friday, 20 March 2026
1. The Story of Regeneration: East London Walking Tour
11:00 – 13:00 | Stratford to Hoxton
Join Dr. Lois Liao for a walk through the layers of East London's history—from migration waves to Olympic legacy. Together, we will collect primary data and collaboratively create a community soundscape.

2. The Equinox Carousel: ArtHouse London Workshop
14:30 – 17:15 | London
Celebrate the Spring Equinox and Nowruz (Persian New Year) with a "carousel" of short, playful workshops. From "Q***r Dance and Play" to "Clam Shell Qigong," this is a space for balance and intention-setting led by IR and UHM artists.

3. Tides of the Moon: Performance + Choreography Lab
19:30 – 22:00 | place London
An evening of dance inspired by the Pacific Moon Goddess, Hina. Watch a 20-minute performance of Tides of the Moon, followed by graduate solo works and a "Process Lab" where you can step into the choreography yourself.

A beautiful morning at our Community Poetry Circle! ✍️✨
There is something so powerful about coming together to share our voices and find common ground. As our participants shared today, poetry is about all of us, our best, our worst, and everything in between.
Missed out this morning? Don’t worry! Feb Fest is just getting started. We have a full week of music, crafts, and social action workshops across Coventry until 21 February.
All events are for charity, so come along, connect, and celebrate our community!

We're so excited to share the official teaser for 'Rhythms of Resistance: Embodiment and Liberation; one of our most powerful projects! 🔥

This project was an incredible international collaboration between us (Intercultural Roots) and the amazing Puma Camille Produções ().

Together, we explored embodiment, liberation, and public health, creating vital spaces for Black and LGBTQIAPN+ communities. From the pulsing energy of Ballroom and Vogue to the ancestral power of Capoeira, we built a community of resistance and joy.

This teaser (by the talented Bruno) captures the beautiful workshops and events at The Place () this past July.

We're so grateful to the British Council () for funding this work through their International Collaboration Grants.

Want to see the full story? The complete "Rhythms of Resistance" film is out now.
