The BOSS Business Supplies Charity was established in 1925 to financially assist people and their families who have previously or currently work within the business supplies industry, who may have fallen on hard times, or are unable to work due to disability and ill health. Anyone who has ever worked in the industry for at least two years in whatever capacity - be it for a retailer, dealer, wholes

aler, or vendor - is eligible to apply to the Charity for financial assistance. The Charity has helped many people through the years from helping to pay for new windows, school uniforms for children, mobility items, plus regular housekeeping costs amongst many others. The Charity is managed by a group of trustees who meet twice a year, and who also help to raise funds. On this page you will find details of how to apply for assistance if you or someone you know requires it. We will also keep you up to date with what fundraising events are happening and details of how to get involved. Carden Park, you did it again!

Despite a slightly soggy end, we had another fantastic day celebrating the work of our charity, filled with loads of fun, networking and generosity.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who donated raffle and auction prizes, and to our amazing sponsors and Patrons. Your continued support - especially in such challenging times, helps us make a real difference to those in need in our industry.

Dave Manfredi Joins Board of Trustees

It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Dave Manfredi to the Board of Trustees at the BOSS Business Supplies Charity.
Dave brings over 10 years’ experience in business development across multiple sectors and, although new to the Office Supplies industry, he is thoroughly enjoying his role at Highlands.
Beyond his professional career, Dave is deeply committed to giving back and has played a vital part in fundraising across a number of charity fundraising initiatives.
A passionate advocate for mental health, Dave has also co-run the Walk and Talk mental health community group for the past 2 years and is an enthusiastic coach within grassroots rugby league.
We’re delighted to have Dave joining the charity and look forward to the energy, insight, and commitment he will bring to the team.

Bev Boden Joins Board of Trustees

We couldn’t be happier to share the appointment of Bev Boden as a new member on the Board of Trustees at the BOSS Business Supplies Charity.
Bev has a wealth of experience from across the financial and charity sectors. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and spent time with a major retail bank, before then moving into the business supplies industry, where she has made a long-lasting impact. Working within the dealer group channel, Bev has most notably been Finance Director at Advantia for more than 30 years.
Alongside her commercial expertise, Bev is a highly experienced charity trustee, currently holding roles with a multi-academy trust and a national charity addressing loneliness and social isolation. She also sits on the management committee of a money and debt advice project, reinforcing her commitment to supporting people through challenging times.
Her depth of financial knowledge, sector insight, and passion for social impact will be an invaluable asset to the charity.

Debbie Nice

After a decade of service we’d like to thank Debbie Nice, who is stepping down from her role as a Trustee and Interim Treasurer of the BOSS Business Supplies Charity.
Reflecting on her time with the charity, Debbie commented:
“I've really enjoyed the last 10 years, working alongside inspiring and dedicated people, and I'm proud of the achievements made and impact that the support makes to the lives of its beneficiaries. It's been a privilege to serve on the Board and I've loved learning from all of the trustees and seeing the evolution of the charity as its coped with changes in both the business supplies industry and the economy.”
Although Debbie is looking ahead to new opportunities, we’re delighted that she will continue her relationship with the BBSC as an Emeritus Member and it will be an honour to have her ongoing support in the future.

We are delighted to announce that Harry Moulding, winner of Britain’s Got Talent, magician, TV personality and performer at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, will be providing the evening entertainment at the BOSS Business Supplies Charity Patrons’ Dinner, taking place on 26 February 2026 at Stationers’ Hall, London.

A member of the prestigious Magic Circle, Harry has spent over a decade refining his craft on some of the world’s most iconic stages. On the evening, Harry will create moments of surprise, connection, and genuine wonder, bringing a little magic to the entire evening making it a night that we won’t forget.

BOSS Business Supplies Charity Announces Trustee Update

The BOSS Business Supplies Charity would like to share an important update regarding our Board of Trustees.

After 11 years of dedicated service, Mike Gowen has decided to step down from his role as Trustee. Mike has been a hugely valued member of the Board, and his support, kindness, and steady guidance over the years have made a real difference to the Charity and to the many people we help. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed, and we wish him all the very best for the future.

We are also pleased to welcome Jade Wilson of OPI Ltd as a new Trustee. Jade brings with him a wealth of experience within the industry, along with strong connections across the business supplies community, which will be a great asset to the Charity. His positive energy and genuine passion for the sector will be very welcome as we continue to grow and develop our support for those who need it.

Chair of Trustees, Kelly Hilleard, said: “We can’t thank Mike enough for the time, care, and commitment he has given the Charity over the past 11 years. At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome Jade, whose knowledge and relationships in the industry will help us reach and support even more people.”

The BOSS Business Supplies Charity remains committed to offering financial and emotional support to individuals within our industry. We look forward to working with Jade (pictured) as he joins us in continuing this important work.
