Last month, KidsAid delivered a Trauma Awareness Community Workshop at Springs Family Centre, using Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) to build on the strengths and assets already present within our local community.

Together, we explored how to recognise signs of trauma, embed early intervention, and apply practical, trauma-informed responses.

Our post-workshop feedback showed a significant increase in overall understanding and confidence, with attendees gaining real-world tools in de-escalation and creating supportive environments for children and young people.

Most encouragingly, 100% of attendees shared that they are happy to pass their learning on to others - helping build a safer, more supportive network for young people across our community.

A huge thank you to Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire, Springs Family Centre, and all our participants for making this session so impactful! 🌟
