⭐️ It is Volunteers’ Week ⭐️

This is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.

Volunteering is a vital component of UK society, with millions contributing their time and skills annually across Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland.

It’s inspiring to see more people, organisations and groups participate each year and celebrate their amazing volunteers and the volunteering community.

Yesterday was Global Day of Parents. The theme this year is ‘Together for Parents’.

The United Nations and UNICEF selected this theme to highlight the importance of community support networks, shared caregiving responsibilities and the resources caregivers need to give children a strong start in life. It emphasises that raising children is a community effort and that families need strong societal systems to thrive.

We recently held a family day at The Olde Coach House in Ashby St Ledgers. We received £110 in cash donations as well as some online donations for our charity. A huge thank you to The Olde Coach House, Ashby St Ledgers for hosting us.
