🎶👋 Chaps & Chats is off to a fantastic start!

Ageing Well Wellingborough has launched a brand-new monthly group aimed at tackling loneliness and bringing local men together 💬💙

🗓️ Held once a month
⏰ 10:30am – 12 noon
📍 Hatton Hall

“Chaps & Chats” is all about connection, conversation and community. With exciting plans already in the pipeline - including museum trips 🏛️, visiting singers 🎤 and even a festive Christmas lunch! 🎄

This week’s session was a real treat 🎷🎶 as Age UK Northamptonshire volunteers Sheila and Stuart had everyone singing and swaying along to live Jazz and Swing! 💃🕺

It’s been another busy and brilliant day at our William and Patricia Venton Day Centre! 💛

Today, tutor Phil alongside talented Cube Cooking College students Maisie, Tiffany, Morgan and Katie, stepped in while our regular cook is on holiday and treated our clients to a fantastic homemade two-course meal. 👨‍🍳✨

On the menu today was an amazing Cottage Pie with vegetables followed by a delicious chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce 🍽️🍫🥰 - it’s safe to say our clients were absolutely amazed by their culinary skills! 👏

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making lunchtime so special 💕

We had another fantastic African drumming session at our day centre in Northampton with the wonderful Carmelia from DFK community wellbeing hub 🥁✨

The energy didn’t stop there – we carried on with a dance and singalong, it was brilliant to have the service users from Cube Cooking join in 🎶💃

A special shoutout to Carmela – our very own dancing queen – who absolutely lit up the dance floor! 👑💃

It’s been so lovely working in collaboration with the Cube Cooking - our clients have truly loved having them here ❤️

Wendie, our Day Care Coordinator, said: "We are having so much fun with the Cube Cooking students and Phil and it’s only Tuesday!"

Moments like these remind us how powerful connection, music and community can be 💛

🍽️💙 With our regular Day Centre cook enjoying a well-deserved holiday, we found ourselves a little short staffed… but thanks to the incredible support from the students at Cube Cooking in Kingsthorpe, it’s been business as usual in the kitchen! 💙🍽️

👏 A huge thank you to all students, including Sam, Carmela and Marc (pictured with Lead Tutor Phil Brown), who have stepped in so enthusiastically to help ensure our clients still enjoy their delicious, freshly-cooked two-course lunches 🥘🍰

Marc said “Me and Sam did the Yorkshire puddings together. We put them on the tray and Phil puts them in the oven.” 🥄👨‍🍳

We’re so grateful for your teamwork, positivity and hard work - it makes such a difference! 🌟

Huge thanks to Archie for raising an incredible £1,118.75 to support older people across Northamptonshire 💙👏

Archie (pictured left) organised a fantastic Charity Golf Day ⛳ at Blackthorne Wood Golf Course, followed by a celebration at Corby Silver Band Club 🎉

This special event was held in memory of his lovely fiancée Debra, who would have been celebrating her 60th birthday 💐✨
