You can get help and support if you're responsible for looking after someone who has a disability, is getting old or has become ill.

It's , a week to highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the amazing contributions they make! Also to help those with caring responsibilities identify as carers and access the support that's available to them.

For many people, LGBTQ+ Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate themselves and their communities. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

But if they are disabled, many of these opportunities can be inaccessible.

Making a Pride event accessible means considering more than just physical barriers. It’s understanding how people need to interact, with each other and the space. Whether there are ways for people who are blind or deaf to get involved. How people can access a quiet place to relax, or take medication, or change a stoma bag. Where mobility aids can be stored during the event.

Disabled people should feel included in Pride.

We’re wishing a happy Pride Month to all who celebrate! 💜

Our volunteers are appreciated every day and we are always grateful for all there time, effort and dedication. Without our volunteers our the goal of achieving disability equality would be further away.

Our here at Scope Northampton Shop, our volunteers are the most amazing team. They donate there time to us, work hard and are the most amazing, dedicated people to work with.

We thank them every day, but this week is Volunteer Appreciation Week so we would like to take the opportunity to shout our Appreciation out loud. 💜

You can drop off your unwanted items and gift aid them if applicable. Less clutter for you!!!

You can talk to a member of staff about joining our fabulous team of volunteers and helping raise money for Scope!!

You can have a browse in our air conditioned shop. We have wide range of new and donated clothes and household items and many more. Who knows what you will find!!!!
