Play2Give play2give.org.uk Play2Give (P2G), a charitable incorporated organisation, was founded in September 2007 by Didcot's Andrew Baker MBE BCAv.

Founded in 2007 by Didcot's Andrew Baker MBE BCAv, Play2Give is an award-winning Thames Valley Charity of the Year changing, transforming & saving lives across Oxfordshire and focused on supporting children, health and disability causes. Changing, transforming and saving lives across Oxfordshire with a particular focus on children, health and disability charities. Honoured with an MBE in the New Y

ear Honours 2021 and with a British Citizen Award (BCAv), Andy was inspired to create P2G after having received treatment throughout his childhood at Oxford hospitals after being born with a brain injury. Creating P2G in 2007 continued his fundraising he embarked upon years earlier. Undergoing brain surgery aged 12 in 2001 was the catalyst for Andy in 2003 to begin fundraising. Aged 14, Andy began raising money while a St Birinus School Didcot pupil for the specialist Oxford Children's Hospital, which opened in 2007. P2G, initially created as a single football tournament event, the annual tournaments took off and made us well known, since we have continued to grow and flourish. Over £400k has been raised through a catalogue of local events and campaigns including our annual Christmas Sleigh2Give gift and Easter appeals. From football tournaments to Halloween discos and gala balls to Summer fun days and colour runs to talent shows and festive markets, raffles, tombolas and merchandise to all other forms of events including partnerships with local supermarkets and through the value of £250k presents raised and distributed out to the less fortunate, children, families and the vulnerable, this amazing amount has been achieved. Play2Give was awarded the "Charity of the Year 2020" in the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards and in 2015 we won the "Best Fundraising Innovation/Campaign" Award at the Didcot BACAs, and in 2022 we won the Didcot Mayor's Community Champions Award. Over 40 good causes and many individuals have benefited from our tireless charitable work.

🎉🌟 Celebrating our Volunteers! 🌟🎉

As this year's national Volunteers Week for 2026 draws to a close today, we take this moment to thank all of the amazing volunteers who do so much to help our charity - in so many ways

The annual Volunteers Week celebrates the contribution millions of people make across the United Kingdom through volunteering in their communities, and we might be biased but our team of volunteers are the very best 🫶

We are always proud of our volunteers, for going above and beyond every day all year round for our charity.
Whether it's volunteering on a stall, to preparing prizes, preparation for events, counting, sorting and boxing thousands of Easter eggs or gifts, organising or helping with an event, marketing and website support, to admin, or taking part in an event or challenge or being a trustee and utilsing their skills and experience in this way - these are just some of the many ways our fabulous superstars help and our tiny charity - with no paid staff at all - would be a lot less

It's time to celebrate and give a big shout out to our incredible volunteers, both past and present, and all who continue to shape P2G as we head into a big milestone year of two decades in 2027

The dedication, energy and the loyal support in so many ways from our volunteers means we can continue to make a real difference in our communities. They are our superheroes 🦸‍♀️🦸

With their help, dedication and commitment we are able to keep on 'changing, transforming and saving lives' across Oxfordshire and beyond.
We extend a great big thank you, and to all the fabulous volunteers across the UK who give so much to help a wide range of charities ✨️

So let's raise a toast 🥂 and celebrate our everyday heroes during Volunteers' Week! 🥳

Who will be crowned the champions this year at Play2Give's Charity Football Tournament?

With five weeks to go until Play2Give's 15th Charity Football Tournament kicks off, we are looking forward to another fantastic and thrilling footballing fest day.

This year's event takes place on Sunday, July 12th at Wallingford Sports Park and everyone including families is welcome along for a day of fun and not just football but on side activities and fun too.

Team entries close at the end of this month so you don't have long now to get yourselves signed up! We already have another good range of teams from groups of friends competing to local companies including Explosive Learning Solutions, F.Church LTD and ATA Logistics LTD to even other charities like our friends The Cornermen and even barbers Youngmans Oxford all coming together in unity of the beautiful game helping to score some great goals by raising lots of funds in one for our charity helping in changing, transforming, and saving lives across Oxfordshire.

2024's victors of The P2G Cup was Bayer NeverLusen, a team of friends from Headington (the team can be seen enjoying their FA cup Champagne glory moment). Will they clinch the cup again this year?

We are excited to find out who will emerge this year's winners and be lifting the cup (with an all champagne frothy moment to add) to glory this year!

The top fundraising team award last year was awarded to ATA Logistics and ATA Sameday from Didcot who with gift aid, raised a staggering £2,471!
Both ATA Logistics and ATA Sameday, based on the Southmead estate in Didcot, are back this year
This year there will once again be an award given to the team who raises the most funds. Will ATA claim it for another year?

Come along on July 12th, embrace the charitable spirit, football fever, support the cause and take part on our raffle and tombola, cheer on our fantastic teams and soak up the atmosphere hot food and drinks rustled up by the sports park

Our footy tournaments are always popular and real match of the days and last year's event raised a record £7.3k which saw Oxford Hospitals Charity, Oxford Head Injury Service - OHIS, Sobell House and SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents) all benefit from our fantastic footballing fun extravaganza.

with the love of footy we can make a difference 🫶⚽️

Thank you Jones Robinson

A huge thank you to The Jones Robinson Group branch who held a tasty and fabulous bake sale last Thursday raising money in support of our charity

The Foxhall Road branch has just reopened with a fresh new look and the bake sale was part of their reopening celebrations 🎉🥂

We are immensely grateful for their support and for cooking up a tasty amount for our charity as every little sure helps our tiny charity changing, transforming, and saving lives across Oxfordshire

We were delighted to be one of the company's five chosen causes as part of their charity of the year partnership last year where they raised an amazing £2,000 plus for us, and so we are thrilled to have their continued support

Congratulations to the Didcot team on their new look offices and for a successful relaunch 🥳🥂🎈

Thank you 🫶

15th Charity Football ⚽️ Tournament 2026

It is not too late to get your company, colleagues, mates or even gym members signed up to take part in our 15th Charity Football Tournament this July.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of this hugely popular and loved annual football tournament, after being established in 2007 it is a highlight of the calendar and this year's 6 a side contest takes place on Sunday, July 12th, again at Wallingford Sports Park.

What is set to be another fun and friendly fundraising competition and it is all to play for too with the 2026 champions lifting The P2G Cup in a FA cup style victory complete with champagne 🍾 of course 😉

There is also even all more to play for with a Plate awarded to the top 3rd or 4th placed team

For all teams there is also the chance to be awarded the top fundraising team cup - rewarded to the team or individual team player who raises the most amount of money for our charity, won consecutively the past two years by Didcot's ATA Logistics LTD and ATA Sameday. Who will be this year's 15th anniversary fundraising champions?

Last year ATA, with gift aid, raised over £2,470 and then later on donated hundreds of toys yet again for a second year for the 11th appeal and also raised even more with an amazing Christmas raffle 🫶

Last year's fundraising tournament raised a record breaking £7,300 for P2G's causes including Oxford Hospitals Charity, Oxford Head Injury Service - OHIS and Sobell House

Do not delay! Limited spaces remain, and we wouldn't want to disappoint!
If you know of a potential team with budding Bales and great Grealishes in them, or a company or a group of mates just for fun looking to enter and have some laughs on the pitch, get signed up ASAP!

What great fun that was!

A huge thank you to everyone - including first timers - who joined us last night for our first boogie bingo night of the year, in support of our charity.

As always everyone was in great spirits and full of smiles - even the bar staff joined in and played too

Despite a delayed set up and start due to the over running of the Champions League final, it was another great night - and we raised a fantastic £363.40 which will go a long way in our mission of changing, transforming, and saving lives locally across Oxfordshire

Our thanks is extended to
Rachael and Boundary Park for always hosting and supporting these events
Jason Dale being an amazing DJ and amusing compere
To those in our team who work behind the scenes in preparing for these events and of course to our attendees who help to make them possible

We hope to hold another boogie bingo night at Boundary Park later in the year and next Easter so please keep an eye out for the dates

Thank you once again for being amazing ✨️

Play2Give's Boogie Bingo Night

30/05/2026

A little notice to guests attending tonight's Boogie Bingo Night at Boundary Park, GWP.

Don't worry when you come up to the bar area, we are still running but

Due to the Champions League final over running and being played on the big screen in the bar, we may be running late on start time, as we need to empty the bar as much as we can to ease space to enable room to play.

Your patience will be much appreciated.

Thank you

Team P2G

Adding our thanks to those who supported and made our fundraising a success at the Harwell Feast this week includes Chris Allum

Chris, who owns Allum's of Oxon, supports us as a volunteer and kindly again donated and supplied their time with van transportation, and we couldn't of done it without him!
He now also helps to organise our annual charity football tournament at Wallingford Sports Park, which this year takes place on Sunday 12th July. He has taken part in previous years and now manages his team, as well as helping to organise alongside our small event team.

Open to all 6 a side adult teams, the annual tournament is hotly contested by companies, groups, and even teams of friends wanting a kick about for a good cause. Entries are still open to take part.

Chris's support is invaluable and one of our many wonderful supporters who gives a lot to aid our charity's good work.

Thank you Chris, and for all your contribitions, donations and time 🙌

Do please give his page Allums of Oxon a follow, and support local

Boogie bingo is where classic bingo meets the biggest singalong anthems. Instead of numbers, your bingo card is packed with tracks over the decades from the 60s to the present day. Tickets £11 adults, £5.50 children. Pre-book online to secure your place. We highly recommend booking in advance to guarantee your seats and to help us plan for numbers and tables.

The bar (card only) will be open selling both soft and alcoholic drinks, and snacks. The terrace will be open overlooking the stunning views from afar, so for a sunny evening it’s the perfect tonic.
