Hello everyone. We have something rather special happening at Re-Live next week ➡️

It’s been quietly growing over the last two years and now we finally get to share it with you.

On Wednesday 14 October, we’re premiering our first ever life story album, A Space in the Woods, at Llanover Hall Arts Centre in Cardiff at 6pm.

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-space-in-the-woods-album-launch-listening-event-tickets-1993451401805

18 original life story songs, written and recorded by veterans, veteran families and community members from across Wales.

52 people — community members and creative professionals — have worked together across three recording studios in Wales to bring this album to life.

There are songs about the people we love, the places that feel like home, a chippy tea, friendship and freedom — moving from intimate acoustic songs to rock and country, with some gorgeous harmonies along the way.

“I never thought I’d write a song, but now I have something my family can hear that says what I can’t always put into words.”
— Chris, veteran and album co-creator

If you love discovering new music, or are curious about what happens when people turn their lives into songs, come and listen to this unique life story album with us.

Settle into your seat and enjoy an hour of beautiful songs in Llanover Hall’s intimate theatre, with its newly upgraded Dolby surround sound. Gentle films of the Welsh natural world will accompany each song — or you can simply close your eyes and immerse yourself in the music.

Afterwards, we’ll hear from some of the people who made the album and some of the stories behind the songs.

If you know someone who loves discovering new music, is part of the Armed Forces community, or would simply enjoy an inspiring autumn evening out in Cardiff, please share this with them.

Everyone is welcome, and the event is suitable for families.

Helo bawb. Mae rhywbeth arbennig yn digwydd gyda Re-Live wythnos nesaf, sydd wedi bod yn datblygu’n dawel dros y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf, ac o’r diwedd rydyn ni’n barod i’w rannu gyda chi.

Nos Fercher 14 Hydref, am 6pm, byddwn ni’n lansio ein albwm straeon bywyd cyntaf, A Space in the Woods, yn Llanover Hall yng Nghaerdydd.

18 o ganeuon gwreiddiol, wedi’u hysgrifennu a’u recordio gan gyn-filwyr, teuluoedd cyn-filwyr a phobl o gymunedau ledled Cymru.

Mae 52 o bobl — pobl o’r cymunedau a gweithwyr creadigol proffesiynol — wedi dod at ei gilydd i greu’r albwm, gan weithio mewn tair stiwdio recordio yng Nghymru.

Mae’r caneuon yn sôn am y bobl rydyn ni’n eu caru, y llefydd sy’n teimlo fel cartref, swper sglodion, cyfeillgarwch a rhyddid — o ganeuon acwstig i roc a chanu gwlad, gyda harmonïau hyfryd drwyddi draw.

“I never thought I’d write a song, but now I have something my family can hear that says what I can’t always put into words.”
— Chris, cyn-filwr ac un o gyd-grewyr yr albwm

Os ydych chi’n mwynhau darganfod cerddoriaeth newydd, neu’n chwilfrydig i glywed beth sy’n digwydd pan fydd pobl yn troi eu bywydau yn ganeuon, dewch i wrando ar yr albwm unigryw hwn gyda ni.

Eisteddwch yn ôl a mwynhewch awr o ganeuon hyfryd yn theatr Llanover Hall, gyda’i system sain amgylchynol Dolby newydd. Bydd ffilmiau o fyd natur Cymru yn cyd-fynd â phob cân — neu gallwch gau eich llygaid a gwrando ar y gerddoriaeth.

Wedyn, cawn glywed gan rai o’r bobl a greodd yr albwm, a’r straeon y tu ôl i’r caneuon.

Os ydych chi’n nabod rhywun sy’n mwynhau darganfod cerddoriaeth newydd, sy’n rhan o gymuned y Lluoedd Arfog, neu a fyddai’n mwynhau noson hydrefol ychydig yn wahanol yng Nghaerdydd, rhannwch hwn gyda nhw.

Mae croeso cynnes i bawb, ac mae’r noson yn addas i deuluoedd.

Nos Fercher 14 Hydref | 6–7.30pm
