🍳 FREE Children’s Cooking Classes!👨‍🍳
We’re excited to have received funding to offer another CookStars cooking course at Taff!
This FREE course is open to children who will be starting Year 7 or Year 8 in September (age 11-13 years).
It’s a great opportunity for young people to build confidence cooking healthy meals, learn new skills and have fun along the way.

Last week, three young people living in Taff homes took part in Blake Morgan LLP Growing Ambitions programme, gaining valuable work experience and an insight into careers in law and professional services.
From experiencing office life and visiting Cardiff Met University and Cardiff Crown Court, to building confidence and making valuable connections, the programme gave participants experience they can add to their CVs and use as a great talking point in future interviews.
A huge well done to Tori, Sumayah and Anas, we're proud to have supported you with this experience! 👏

A huge thank you to Penguin Books for generously sending us a big box of books to put in our Little Book Stop this summer.
Some of the fantastic new books along the theme of 'read to the beat' were added to the Book Stop yesterday, with more being added over the coming weeks when there is space. We have also added some lovely new children's colouring books that were kindly donated by a member of staff. Our Little Book Stop is located outside of our office on Cowbridge Road East, Canton.
Borrow a book, enjoy it, then bring it back for someone else to discover. Happy reading! 📖

🍏Free Kids' Snacks This Summer! 🍌
Throughout the 6 week summer holidays, we will be offering fresh fruit and healthy snacks to children visiting our reception.
There will also be a range of fun activity sheets and the latest edition of Story Corner magazine, kindly provided by the children's reading charity Bookmark 📖

We had so much fun on Saturday at Taff Cook Stars! 🌟👩‍🍳
Our mini chefs made cheesy coleslaw pitta pockets, packed with colourful rainbow vegetables that they chopped themselves, along with protein rich cheese that they grated🧀
They also baked delicious apple swirls- warm cinnamon and fresh apple pastries, perfect as a weekend breakfast treat served with fresh fruit and yoghurt🍓
As well as cooking, the children played a fun 'Guess the Veg' game and learnt all about the 'Eatwell Plate' and portion sizes. 🥦
