Tonypandy Track Classic 2026 ✅
The sun was shining on the King George VI Athletics Track last night as it hosted the endurance event for the third time. Roedd yr haul yn tywynnu ar Drac Athletau Tonypandy neithiwr wrth iddo gynnal y digwyddiad yma am y trydydd tro. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

From the under 12/14 800m races to the conclusion of the graded 5000m races 5 hours later, it was a great evening of racing!

Congratulations to the medalists and athletes who competed in the Welsh U16, U20 and Senior 3000m & 5000m championships. Llongyfarchiadau i bawb wnaeth gymryd rhan! 👏

The final two events of the evening is underway... the Elite Men’s and Women’s 5000m. Mae digwyddiadau olaf y noson wedi dechrau... sef 5000m Elît y Dynion a Menywod.

Over the 5 races that has taken place throughout the programme, medals will be awarded to the first three male and female athletes in the 2026 Welsh Athletics 5000m Championships.

In Rhondda Cynon Taf this Saturday evening, the Tonypandy Track Classic is back with its biggest entry number to date. Yn Rhondda Cynon Taf heno, mae digwyddiad Trac Tonypandy yn ôl sydd yn cynnwys Pencampwriaethau 3000m a 5000m Cymru Dan 16/20 a hyn.

Now in its third edition, there's a great atmosphere and over 250 competitors of all ages entered at the King George VI Athletics Track. Races are ranging from age group and elite 800m, 1500m and Masters 3000m International to the Welsh Under 16 / 20 3000m and Senior 5000m Championships.

It’s Welsh outdoor championship month! ✅ Mae’n Mis pencampwriaethau awyr agored Cymru! ✅

A week on from the junior championships in Deeside and a fortnight before the senior & U18 age group weekend, the Welsh Athletics U16 & U20 3000m Championships returns to the Tonypandy Track Classic. Several junior athletes who competed in North Wales last weekend feature here over seven-and-half-laps.
