As Mélanie’s Way approaches the incredible milestone of 100 wishes granted over the first decade of our mission, we invite you to join us for an evening dedicated to celebrating the people, partnerships, and generosity that made it all possible.

This special gathering will bring together leaders from across Canada’s healthcare and life sciences community to reflect on the impact we can have beyond the medicines and services we develop and deliver. Throughout the evening, we will recognize and celebrate the individuals, families, and organizations whose commitment and support have helped transform wishes into reality over the past several years.

Admission is complimentary, and individual donations are appreciated. Guests who wish to host colleagues may choose to sponsor a table.

🚗💙 Jen's wish took her family on an unforgettable East Coast road trip through Montreal, Quebec City, Fredericton, Halifax, Sydney, Deer Lake, and Newfoundland. Along the way, they explored beautiful places, met incredibly kind people, and made memories together as a family.
"Everybody was just so nice everywhere we went. The farther east you go, I think the nicer they got."
From ferry rides to ocean views, every stop brought a new adventure. Thank you to our supporters for helping make moments like these possible. 💙

Our Fairy Godparents are part of our hard-working team of volunteers who dedicate their time to help us grant wishes by meeting with wish recipients, organizing the logistics, and ensuring their wish comes true with no hiccups. All of this work allows lifelong memories to be made with their loved ones 💜

Danielle was a single Mom who wanted to give back to her family, who helped her through her cancer journey. She wanted to have some time together away from cancer and enjoy some fun in the sun!

With her sister, son, and parents, they all got to create lifelong memories together in Punta Cana, meeting tropical birds, swimming with dolphins, and enjoying a vacation together as a family 💜

Tina’s Greek Adventure — Part 2 ✨

After Athens and Meteora, Tina and her daughters headed to Crete — where turquoise water, beautiful beaches, delicious food, and plenty of exploring were waiting for them.

They wandered through the charming streets and markets of Old Town Chania, discovered local shops and handmade pottery, enjoyed the pool at their villa, and found a beautiful, less-touristy beach where the crystal-clear Mediterranean water became one of the highlights of the trip.

“It’s so much warmer, crystal blue, you can see right through it.”

But perhaps the most meaningful part was simply having the chance to experience it all together.

“Being able to be on a trip with my kids… that was something that I’ve always wanted to do and have never been able to do.”

And it sounds like Tina’s daughters may have caught the travel bug too. When asked if they were already thinking about their next adventure, Tina said they were excited to travel again — and added:

“I think it’s so important… You should experience other people’s cultures, so you can appreciate people more.” 💙

Tina’s Greek Adventure — Part 1 ✨☀️

Tina’s wish took her and her two daughters on an unforgettable adventure through Greece — beginning in Athens and continuing north to the spectacular mountains of Meteora.

In Athens, they explored the city’s incredible history, including a guided tour of the Acropolis, learning about the origins of the marathon, and watching the ceremonial changing of the guard.

But it was Meteora that truly stole their hearts. "We really loved it, it was definitely a highlight for us. We did horseback riding there, and that was a first for all of us. And the views were amazing.” 🐴

For Tina, getting to experience these moments with her daughters was the real gift. “Really just going on a trip with my kids is fulfilling a dream.” 💛

And the adventure was only halfway over…Stay tuned for Part 2 — Crete! 🌊

One of our wish recipients, Colleen, wrote a book offering an honest and deeply personal reflection on the challenges of facing a cancer diagnosis at a younger age. Through sharing her experiences, struggles, and insights, Colleen’s voice continues to resonate beyond her lifetime.

In honor of Colleen’s legacy, all proceeds made from the sale of this book will be donated to Mélanie’s Way.

Always a pleasure when we can meet our wish recipients in person!

Shannon got to meet with Amanda, her fairy godmother, who helped make her trip of a lifetime come true!

Back in April, Shannon's wish was to meet her pen pal Tim of 25 years for the first time in New Zealand. Together they got to experience Hobbiton, Māori culture, and enjoy an amazing trip!

Shannon's wish part 2: Hobbiton, Māori Culture & Memories 🌿✨

Shannon’s New Zealand adventure continued with unforgettable experiences — from visiting Hobbiton and exploring Rotorua to experiencing Māori culture and food at the Mitai Māori Village. Her trip to the Weta Workshop tour was a ton of fun with plenty of “very dad humor” jokes from the guide 😄

Between the stunning scenery, nonstop laughter, and quirky adventures along the way, the New Zealand trip was everything she had hoped for. What made it even more special was experiencing all of these magical moments and incredible new experiences with her long-time pen pal! 💙

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of granting wishes to almost 90 women: family vacations, reunions with loved ones, meaningful celebrations, bucket-list adventures, and simple moments that mean everything.

As more applications continue to come in, community support is what allows us to keep saying “yes” to these women and their families when it matters most. This year, we hope to reach — and surpass — our goal of helping more than 100 women and their families create meaningful memories together. 💙
