As a Veteran and Veteran Family Program Coordinator at the PEI Military Family Resource Centre, Wayne works every day alongside military members, Veterans, RCMP families, and their loved ones, helping connect them with the programs and supports they need to thrive after service.

For a child from a military family, a week at summer camp is more than just a fun vacation. It can create new friendships around a campfire, instill the confidence to try something new, and provide the comfort of a community that understands.

Thanks to supporters like you, last year more than 1,300 children from military families had the opportunity to attend camps across Canada, like Camp Maple Leaf. Though there are still more children who could benefit from these meaningful experiences.

The message was clear: Veterans have incredible skills, experience and leadership to offer. Communities benefit when we make space for them to share it.

Ontario Parks is making it easier for military families to enjoy the restorative benefits of nature. Veterans, active CAF members, and their loved ones can now reserve free day passes to more than 340 provincial parks.

We applaud this initiative, which recognizes the service and sacrifice of our military community while creating more opportunities to relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories outdoors.
