Introducing the 2026 ONE City Scholars!
These incredible TDSB graduates shine a light on the brilliance, resilience, and optimism of so many young people across Toronto and reflect the strength of Toronto’s diverse neighbourhoods.

Each scholar represents a unique story of perseverance, potential, and purpose, reminding us of a powerful truth: Our city’s future is in good hands!

Our talented and accomplished students are future scientists, businesspeople, engineers, doctors and nurses, artists, activists and change-makers. Their achievements are a testament to what’s possible when we invest in youth, and when youth believe in themselves.

This year, we are also proud to welcome our inaugural Kassam Equity Scholars, twenty new scholars, including many newcomers to Canada and children of newcomers. Most are the first in their families to pursue college or university, and each one has earned admission to the program of their choice while building a new life in a new country.

The Kassam Equity Scholars at ONE City Scholarship Fund represent exactly the kind of talent the Moez & Marissa Kassam Equity Fund exists to support: individuals who close the gap between their own potential and what’s possible when barriers are removed.

We are also proud to recognize the 2026 ONE City Olivia Wilks Scholarship Recipients. The Olivia Wilks Scholarship is awarded yearly to two Black students applying to social work, psychology, nursing, and other helping or social justice programs. These recipients exemplify compassion, leadership, and a deep commitment to creating positive change within their communities through service, advocacy, and care for others.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Olivia Wilks for her continued support and commitment to uplifting the next generation of Black leaders in care, justice, and community impact.

We are honoured to welcome them into the ONE City community, and deeply grateful to Marissa Siegal Kassam and Moez Kassam for making this possible.

Help us celebrate and congratulate all of our 2026 recipients!

Celebrating Emerging Leader Sheyma alongside 2026 ONE City Scholars Jasiah and Jahvaun at the Black Student Post-Secondary Engagement Symposium at Birchmount CI.

They are showing what community building looks like in real time, through leadership, connection, and a commitment to creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and included.

Whether in school or in their wider communities, they continue to step up, support others, and lead in ways that reflect care, resilience, and purpose.
Proud of their growth so far and excited to see the impact they continue to make!
