Last week, we hosted our first Partners in Purple event in Ottawa—and we’re still feeling incredibly grateful.

This gathering brought together survivors, advocates, and community members to share stories, foster connections, and discuss actionable steps toward ending gender-based violence. The evening was a powerful reminder of the strength found in unity and the importance of community-driven change.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who participated and supported this event. Your presence and engagement made it a meaningful experience.

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to attend the Canada Strong and Free Network conference and speak on the criminal justice panel about one of the most urgent and pressing issues of our time: gender-based violence and intimate partner violence (IPV).

These are not isolated, private incidents — they are systemic issues that require a multifaceted response. From legal reform to public education to survivor support, every piece matters.

We’re grateful for the space to raise awareness and push this conversation forward — because real change begins when we refuse to look away.
