Only a few tickets left for our Endometriosis & Your Pelvic Health Event on May 28th with 🤗

This unique event combines expert-led pelvic floor physiotherapy education with a Yoga & Pilates session designed to support strength, mobility, and overall well-being 🎗️

Meet our next Facilitator, Cristina Chaparro : Pilates Instructor

Cristina brings a thoughtful, therapeutic approach to Pilates and movement at Physiola, blending mindful movement with a deep respect for how the body, mind, and emotions are interconnected. With a background in theatre, she was drawn to Pilates and Yoga as a way to explore movement with greater awareness, intention, and balance—both on and off the mat. Her teaching is strongly influenced by Integrated Movement Therapies, which emphasize alignment, functional strength, and an understanding of how the body moves through space.

Meet Faryal Zahir Pelvic Health Physiotherapist who will be leading the pelvic health session.

Faryal will walk you through what’s happening in your body and you will learn how endometriosis contributes to pelvic floor dysfunction, why pain can become persistent or chronic, and how these patterns develop over time.

We’ll also break down the role of pelvic health physiotherapy in managing symptoms—what treatment looks like, what an assessment involves, and how targeted care can help you regain control, reduce pain, and improve function.

Faryal graduated from McMaster University with a Masters in Physiotherapy and is practising as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist at Physiola. She supports women with evidence based and personalized care across all stages of life. From menstruation, to pregnancy and postpartum, through menopause and beyond - helping them navigate womanhood with clarity and confidence.

This week was extremely heavy and we’re sending prayers and condolences to Jenneh Rishe’s family 🙏🏾

Jenneh you had the biggest heart, was passionate and a true gift to people in your life.

To see your advocacy in the endo community is truly inspiring. Your strength, vulnerability, courage and determination is something that we will always cherish.

In 2023 we had the opportunity to screen Below the Belt in Toronto and we were really excited. You were supportive and it meant the world.

Thank you for always believing in us and being an advocate for so many people around the world. Your hard work will never be forgotten and your legacy will forever continue.

Rest in Heavenly Peace 🕊️🙏🏾

Canada loves you 💛💛

On March 1st we kicked off Endometriosis Awareness Month with our Endo-Friendly Cooking Class at Aphrodite Cooks 🎗️

Thank you to everyone who attended…from those living with endo and all the family, friends and volunteers! The room was filled with so much love!! It was great meeting everyone…from chatting, sharing stories, cooking, and all the laughter, it made us feel proud to be a part of this community and definitely an evening we will never forget🎗️

We started the evening off with Ashley and Amanda the co-owners of Navigating Chronic Illness Journal
This journal is not only for those with endometriosis but for anyone with a chronic illness and would like to track any health related information ie) symptoms, medication, appointments, test results..and it also includes our personal favourite, an Art Therapy section. This journal has it all!!! 💜📔

Our next guest speaker was Sarah Skwarna (Grossman) THANK YOU Sarah for sharing your journey on endometriosis and providing us with so much information on how food impacts both health and the body, and also taking us through your cookbook, Good Food, Good Mood. It was great to hear from someone who has endo and can understand our health struggles.

This evening could not have been possible without Chef Vanessa and her team at Aphrodite Cooks. Thank you for opening your kitchen and creating a safe space for us to be vulnerable and share our experiences with one another. The food was AMAZING! We couldn’t have cooked this delicious meal without you and your team.

This event was a reminder that good things can come out of hard times!! Endometriosis is filled with so many layers and is difficult to navigate..However meeting you all and seeing all the connections and advocacy being made put everything into perspective. We can always lean on each other, we don’t have to struggle in silence..we got this 💪🏾🎗️

Happy Endo Awareness Month!!

When people say Endo is “just a bad period” 🙄

2022 when I had bilateral nephrostomy tubes for 6 months due to endo affecting my kidneys. My ureters were extremely narrow due to stage 4 endo and adhesions. My Creatinine level which measures your kidney function was at 205.
