Spring has a way of stirring something in us. 🌸

Madeleine Thien reminds us that music can hold the full range of our emotions, even the ones we can’t name yet. Sometimes it’s not about understanding everything, just letting yourself feel it.

Last week, was proud to be part of the . It was a meaningful space focused on service, wellness and mental health for those on the front lines.

We had the opportunity to connect with attendees at our booth and introduce AMP’s new First Responders Program. We shared more about our workplace wellness offerings too, including Music-Based Mindfulness and Stress Reduction.

joined us to perform classic songs that set the mood for the afternoon reception. We were also thrilled to see take the stage as the Day 2 keynote speaker, following his powerful appearance at our last Stories & Songs event.

It was a powerful few days of music, conversation and connection and marked an exciting step forward as we continue bringing music into spaces that support mental wellness for first responders. 💛

Last month we had the pleasure of joining Brock University for Amplify: Mind, Music & Wellbeing 🎶

A day that brought together research, conversation and live music to explore the role music can play in supporting mental health. We were proud to share the work of and to be part of a growing conversation around how music can help people feel seen, understood and connected.

We’re especially excited about what’s ahead... 👀

Students in Brock’s Faculty of Education are now developing their own version of the Awesome Music Hour, bringing it into high schools this fall to support youth mental health through music! Stay tuned for more information about this program! ❤️

You might think you’re just listening to music, but research suggests something more is happening.

Research suggests that when a song fully grabs your attention, your brain may be doing more than simply hearing it. It may be actively following, processing and exploring the sound in real time. That kind of listening is more focused, more effortful and far less passive than we might think.

Which might explain why some songs do not just play in the background. They pull us all the way in.

Have you ever felt that happen with a song? ❤️🎧

When Suzanne McNeil’s daughter Megan was diagnosed with cancer at sixteen, music quickly became the light they held onto. With the help of a music therapist, Megan turned her experience into the song “A Will to Survive,” a piece that carried her through treatment and inspired teens around the world.

Today, Suzanne still returns to Megan’s voice, a reminder of her strength, her spirit and the way music can lift us even in our darkest moments.

Your playlist isn’t just background noise, it’s changing how your brain experiences effort.
Research shows that music syncs your movement, boosts motivation and can even make a tough workout feel easier than it is.

The right song can push you, pace you or help you reset. That’s the power of music in motion. 🎧❤️ 💪
