Rainbow Toastmasters is a gathering of friends; a safe and supportive place for personal development and skills improvement. Rainbow Toastmasters is a member of Toastmasters International, which is an international non-profit educational organization where members at all levels learn how to communicate more effectively. Through local clubs such as Rainbow Toastmasters, Toastmasters International h

elps sharpen members’ speaking, listening and thinking skills. Toastmasters appeals to those people who fear or wish to improve their speaking in any public or high-stress situation. The skills you learn foster better understanding, enhance your leadership potential and can help you become a leader in your community. If you’re interested in improving your communication and leadership skills, our club is for you. TIME & PLACE:
Meetings are Monday nights at 7 PM. (arrive 10 - 15 minutes early to chat). We meet at St. Andrew's United Church 117 Bloor East (near Church St.) Also accessible from 54 Hayden Street. We meet every week with the exception of statutory holidays (including, of course, when our favourite holiday Hallowe'en falls on a Monday!) Street parking on Church Street near Hayden.

✨ Meeting Recap – June 1 ✨

We had 18 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting — an energetic evening full of humour, indulgence, and tons of learned moments!

Tristan did a fantastic job serving as Toastmaster for the first time and leading the meeting with the fun and engaging theme: “Guilty Pleasures” 🫦

We welcomed guests Benny, Dave, Bashiyr, and Lilie — thank you for joining us, we hope you had fun!

Role Highlights:

🔍 General Evaluator: John, who reminded us to fill the podium, speak to the back row, and members to get involved in Toastmasters because it’s your “money honey!” 💰

Speeches:
🎤 Jamie delivered “How the Guy Named Jamie from Salisbury, New Brunswick Became Mr. Price in Toronto,” and did such a great job that not even BonHomme could convince us otherwise ⛄❄️, evaluated by Shane.
🎤 Akeylah shared “Crowdsourcing Mentoring,” with her novel take on being a protege evaluated by Derek.

Table Topics:
Hosted by Wei, leading to a wide variety of entertaining and creative responses from participants.

🏆 Awards:
The Table Topics Award went to Dave for his unforgettable “raw meat” answer 🥩

Grammarian Award was earned by Akeylah for her excellent comedic timing — congratulations! 🎉

Akeylah did a fantastic job serving as Toastmaster for her first time and leading the meeting with the very timely theme: “Spring Cleaning” 🌸🧹

We had 17 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting — a high turnout with new and familiar faces participating throughout the evening!

We had 17 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting—a great mix of members and guests bringing lots of energy and participation throughout the evening! Seven guests attended. We welcomed four new members fully registered . Welcome Tristan, Wei and Naida. Welcome back as a member Mohammad.
Brian was our Toastmaster with the theme District 60 Conference Review

We welcomed guests Guillherme, Bashiyr, Mortenza, Angela, Tommy and Romeo and Romeo's wife Alisa who was an Area Director in Vancouver—thank you for joining us! You all did a fantastic job.

After the meeting a group of 9 of us went to Bishop & Belcher for some food and socializing.

Grammarian and Table Topics winners April 27th along with three new Rainbow Toastmasters members inducted.

We had 17 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting—a great mix of energy and participation throughout the evening! Seven guests attended
John was our Toastmaster with the theme First United Church of Trump (imagine the acronym)
We welcomed guests Naida, Wei, Danuta (Area Director) Danial and Tristan—thank you for joining us! You all did a fantastic job.
