Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Throughout May, we celebrated Asian Heritage Month at Covenant House through a number of events to help youth and staff learn more about and honour the rich contributions of Asian Canadian communities across the country.

From educational opportunities and art workshops to mahjong night, trying different Asian cuisines together, and more, this month created space for meaningful conversations, shared experiences, reflection, and joy, while celebrating the diversity that strengthens our community every day.

Take a look behind the scenes at some of the moments we shared together. ✨

A day under the cherry blossoms at High Park. 🌸

At Covenant House Toronto, our team is always looking for ways to create opportunities for young people to pause, connect and experience joy outside of their day‑to‑day routine.

Recently, our team organized an outing to High Park so young people could experience the cherry blossoms at their peak — taking in the beauty of spring in the city and spending time together.

✨Experiences like these can be deeply meaningful, and offer a chance to slow down, feel a sense of belonging, and find hope as they move toward stability and their brighter futures.

So much of the care at Covenant House happens behind the scenes — and Thomas Scopie is such a powerful example of that!

As an Operations Supervisor, Thomas plays an essential role in creating spaces where young people feel safe, supported, and cared for every day. From keeping our heating and cooling systems running smoothly to ensuring our indoor and outdoor spaces are clean and secure, his work helps create a welcoming environment where youth can begin to feel a sense of stability.

A safe and stable environment is one of the most important foundations for healing and growth. Through his dedication and care, Thomas has seen firsthand the incredible resilience of the young people at Covenant House — and how everyday acts of care can provide hope during some of the most difficult moments in their lives.

Thank you, Thomas, for the compassion, commitment, and hard work you bring to Covenant House each and every day. 💙

Every day, young people walk through our doors facing an impossible choice: remain in unsafe situations or face homelessness alone.

Youth homelessness is a growing — but preventable — crisis.

When young people receive the right support at the right time, they don’t just survive — they begin to heal, regain confidence, and move toward building their stable future.

At Covenant House, recreation and sports are powerful ways for youth to unwind, make friendships, and experience joy and connection.

Whether it’s basketball, soccer or Zumba, these activities help youth build confidence in their own strengths and develop the skills and social connections needed to thrive.

This , we sat down with Diane Jung, a Registered Nurse at our on-site BensKids Health Centre, to reflect on the important role nurses play in caring for our community.

At Covenant House, nurses provide more than medical care. They offer compassion and support that helps young people heal, rebuild confidence, and move from crisis toward futures filled with hope and possibility.

Happy International Nurses Day. 💙

Home of the Unbreakable 💙

A reminder in the heart of Toronto’s Sankofa Square that youth experiencing homelessness are not defined by their circumstances, but by their strength, resilience, and potential.

Together, we can help build brighter futures — one young person at a time.
