This Saturday!
AnOnline Lecture/Seminar
Sat May 24 2025
10:00 am-12:30 pm ET
By Jungian Analyst Jane Clapp

Basic Principles Series:
#3 of 3: Jung’s Model of the Psyche - How is Social Media Impacting our Inner Worlds?

Social media continues to pe*****te our world with ever-increasing impacts on our daily lives and relationships. What would Jung say about the impact of social media on the elements of our personal and collective psychologies? How does social media affect the very structures of psyche? This lecture and seminar will explore the dynamics of social media and how Jung’s concept of the Shadow can be observed via personal and cultural complexes”.

As a Jungian Analyst, Jane Clapp immerses herself in the intricate interplay of the body and psyche, aiming to awaken a profound responsiveness to life’s mysteries and rekindle the enchantment of existence. For more than two decades, she has guided individuals across the globe through the labyrinthine realms of emotional turmoil, physical suffering, and complex trauma, drawing from the wellspring of movement and somatic therapy in addition to Jungian theory and practice. She created and constantly evolves a body of what she terms Jungian Somatics, a fusion of somatic exploration and analytical psychology. She has shared her work and research regarding social media with several Jungian societies after publishing a paper on Jung Culture: Culture and Psyche and completing her thesis on this topic. Jane brings a post-Jungian and anti-oppressive lens to her teaching while respecting Jung’s work as implicitly embodied.
