Today's the day!

In 2026, Alongside Hope is raising funds to provide 407 solar panels at St. Luke’s Hospital in the West Bank. As a peer-to-peer fundraiser within the larger Light for St. Luke’s campaign, the Wild Ride is a great opportunity to support the hospital in a hands-on way.

The Wild Ride is back in 2026!

Our theme this year, Watt's Possible, focuses on helping St. Luke’s Hospital in the West Bank transition to renewable and reliable solar energy. The Wild Ride goal is $60,000 — enough to fund 70 solar panels — and every gift is matched, doubling your impact.

Join the Wild Ride by taking on a personal challenge that inspires you: walking, cycling, swimming, baking, reading, creating art — anything that brings people together for hope and healing.

St. Luke’s Hospital serves a population of 455,000 people in the West Bank. But with frequent power outages and increasing fuel costs, delivering quality health care is a challenge.

That’s why Alongside Hope is partnering with the Diocese of Jerusalem to install 407 solar panels on the hospital roof. Light for St. Luke’s will provide reliable energy, reduce emissions, and keep life‑saving services running even in a crisis.

As of today, you have helped us raise funds for 65 solar panels. 🌞 With a match from a generous donor, we're well on our way to funding all of the panels.

Donate today and double your impact — every watt counts: https://wl.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=E344492QE&id=118

The Wild Ride is back, and this year, we’re raising funds to provide 407 solar panels for St. Luke’s Hospital in the West Bank.

Wondering how you can help those living in the West Bank? Take on a personal challenge as part of the Wild Ride!

Every participant chooses an activity that’s meaningful to them and uses it to raise both funds and awareness for the campaign. There’s no single way to take part — some people take on physical challenges, while others get creative. The Wild Ride is intentionally flexible, making it an accessible way for anyone to contribute.

This past week, Janice Biehn, Alongside Hope's Communications and Marketing Coordinator, has been in Ottawa for the annual Anglican Editors Association conference.

Editors from across Canada have come together for a week of learning. Workshops on strengthening both print and digital publications. Space to share ideas. Time to reconnect. Alongside Hope, The Anglican Foundation of Canada, and The Companions of Jerusalem all offered updates and presentations, adding even more depth to the week.

The Rev. Canon Nicola Skinner represented Alongside Hope on a recent Canadian Foodgrains Bank Learning Tour to Kenya. Here are some of her thoughts in the Anglican of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.

As a teenager back in 1985, I took myself to see the movie Out of Africa multiple times. It wasn’t the colonial era Streep/Redford romance that enraptured me, but rather the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack and stunning cinematography of the Maasai Mara. I had never been outside the UK and vowed on...
