VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community?

CDC Quinte’s Good Food Box Program is looking for volunteer drivers to help deliver fresh, affordable food to depots across Hastings and Prince Edward County on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month.

Whether you’re retired, semi-retired, or simply have experience driving larger vehicles, we’d love to hear from you.

As a volunteer driver, you’ll:

Drive a 20’ or 26’ cube van (training provided)

Deliver Good Food Boxes to our community depots throughout Hastings and Prince Edward County

Help load and unload boxes

Work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers

Play an important role in helping local families access healthy food.

What we’re looking for:

Experience driving larger vehicles

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Strong teamwork and organizational skills

A valid Driver’s Abstract

A positive attitude and a commitment to supporting your community.

Commitment: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month

Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Just two days a month can make a real difference. Help us ensure fresh produce reaches communities across Hastings and Prince Edward County while putting your driving experience to good use.

If you’re looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity, this could be for you. Food to Share is looking for volunteers to help cook meals Tuesday mornings in Wellington and Wednesday afternoons in Picton.

No experience is required. You just have to come with a good attitude ready to prep and cook ingredients and package about 60 meals. It’s typically about 3 hours and you can volunteer as your schedule allows. No weekly commitment required.
