Pausing to honour and remember Cynthia Riordan, a remarkable community leader and the President of the Wellington Storehouse Food Bank.
Cynthia gave her time, her heart, and her boundless energy to ensuring that no one in our community was left behind. She led with an unwavering belief that things could be done—and done better—if people worked together with compassion, creativity, and determination. Her can-do attitude was contagious. When challenges arose, Cynthia didn’t dwell on obstacles; she focused on solutions.
Cynthia had a rare ability to bring people together—volunteers, partners, donors, and neighbours—making everyone feel valued, capable, and hopeful.
Above all, Cynthia brought warmth and positivity to everything she touched. Her leadership was grounded in kindness, dignity, and an unshakeable belief in community care. The impact of her work will be felt for years to come in the lives of those she helped and the people she inspired to keep going.
We are deeply grateful for Cynthia’s legacy of service and compassion. She will be missed, but her spirit lives on in the work she championed and the community she helped strengthen. 💛
