At GreaterThan County Youth Collective, we are committed to taking steps toward Truth and Reconciliation every day. Our goal is to create safe and welcoming spaces for youth, and especially Indigenous youth. Today and every day, Every Child Matters.

BIG NEWS!! You can now join us every FRIDAY until October 30th for a FREE hot lunch!

Come to the Picton Skatepark Canteen from 11am-12pm and we will be serving up some delicious meals free of cost

We are so so proud of our amazing staff!! Last night Thomas an Audrey won municipal civic recognition awards for youth leadership and youth volunteerism, both of which were extremely well deserved!! We were so proud watching them receive their awards and we are so proud and grateful to have them as integral members of Greater Than’s team!

Join us for a youth open mic night at Base 31 on September 17th!! From 5-8pm we will be rocking out and laughing up a storm at the commissary and we would love to see you there! Youth ages 12-29 are invited to get up on stage, and bring any ages of family and friends to watch and support!

We had an amazing time and Tyendinaga Powwow last Sunday with some amazing youth! Thank you so much to our friends The Students Commission Of Canada🇨🇦 for sponsoring this amazing day! There was amazing food, crafts, and beautiful dancing and music!! We can’t wait to be back next year!

What an amazing grand opening!! Thank you so much to our partners, friends, volunteers and staff for making it an amazingly successful day!!

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to
*Picton Foodland for donating lots of buns, condiments, veggies, and plates
*Picton Metro for donating 60 fresh store made burgers, 50 hotdogs, and lots of pop for our free bbq!!

We served up over 75+ free hot lunches thanks to their generosity!! And a massive thank you to Ross from Mohawk Soda Company for manning the grill all day and cooking all that delicious food!!

Another special thank you to Picton Home Hardware for the donations for our kitchen equipment that has already helped us serve up dozens of delicious smoothies! 😋

None of it could have happened without all of the incredible support from our comminity!

We love the canteen space and are excited to be serving up healthy affordable snacks and super fun programs and activities Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10-4!

Tomorrow is our GRAND OPENING!! And we can’t wait to see you all there!!

Free BBQ lunch starts at 11:30 and goes until sold out! Canteen is also open with our regular menu available!

Bingo, trivia and crafts happening throughout the day! Come see the new space and what we are all about!!

Come for the day or just pop in to say hi, either way we can’t wait to see you!!
