The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to share that Executive Director Tracey Clarke has been awarded the Gerry Frederick Memorial Award for Chamber Executive of the Year (350+ Member Category), one of the highest honours within British Columbia's Chamber network.

Presented by the Canadian Chamber Executives of British Columbia (CCEBC), the award recognizes exceptional leadership, operational excellence, innovation, community impact, and commitment to the Chamber movement.

Over the past three years, Tracey has led the Chamber through a period of significant transformation. Under her leadership, the organization has achieved national accreditation, become a Certified Living Wage Employer and BC Green Business, launched the Chamber Business Hub, diversified revenue streams, expanded staffing capacity, and strengthened its long-term sustainability.

Beyond organizational growth, Tracey has helped position the Chamber as a trusted convener, advocate, and economic development leader within the Comox Valley and beyond. She also serves on the Boards of Directors of the Canadian Chamber Executives of British Columbia and the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance.

While this award recognizes one individual, it also reflects the collective efforts of the Chamber's Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, members, sponsors, elected officials, and community partners who work together to support a strong and vibrant business community.

Please join us in congratulating Tracey on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

We are currently looking for feedback on how the 'Do Not Flush' Order on May 26, 2026, affected local businesses in Courtenay and Comox area.

We recognize the complexity of responding to an evolving emergency situation of this nature and appreciate the efforts of local governments, emergency crews, utilities staff, and partner agencies who worked quickly to respond and communicate with the public as information became available.

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce is gathering feedback to better understand the economic and operational impacts of the event and support future business continuity and emergency preparedness planning. Our goal is to strengthen the resilience of the local business community.
