Tomorrow, September 30, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and to remember the children who never returned home.

At the Comox Valley Transition Society, we believe every person deserves to feel safe, respected, supported and like they belong. That belief is at the heart of our work, and reconciliation is part of that work too.

Most importantly, it asks us to reflect on our own role, and on the ways we can help build communities rooted in safety, respect, understanding and belonging for all.

Today, and every day, we are committed to listening, learning and taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation.
