Today we had the chance to celebrate the incredible work of some of QFD’s finest, awarding the Commissioner’s Awards for Excellence to the staff and volunteers who go above and beyond their duties to better serve communities across Queensland.

On Saturday night at our annual Firefighters Cancer Foundation Australia Gala Dinner, we topped off an amazing day with a little surprise. Three of our dedicated FCFA volunteers were recognised as official Ambassadors. We are so privileged to have Trevor Lansdown Emma Richardson Janice Beale on board, giving up their own time to spread our message and educate their firefighting colleagues on the risk they face serving their communities.
