Sporting Clays Australia

Sporting Clays Australia Who is Sporting Clays Australia? Sporting Clays Australia is the national independent association for We offer many pathways for our members in Australia.

Sporting Clays Australia was formed back in 1958 to service the needs of the ever expanding numbers of sportsmen and women who dedicated their time to the various forms of Sporting Clays. Back then the Association was known as Field and Game Federation of Australia. Membership was soon established with the International body known as “Federation Internationale de Tir Aux Sportives de Chasse” (‘FIT

ASC’), the worldwide body offering the disciplines – Parcours de Chasse (FITASC Sporting) – Compak – Helice (ZZ) and Universal Trench. From the elite level representing their country on the International stage, down through to National, State, Club competitions, or a more informal afternoon of recreation with family & friends at the local club. The variation of clay target presentation is only limited by the imagination of the target setter, Whether it is a Standard 120mm, Midi 90mm, Mini 60mm, Battue or a Rabbit clay, if we can make a clay target fly, it is considered fair game to be shot. It is this variation makes Sporting Clays the entertaining sport designed for all the family. Why not take the time out to visit one of our many Clubs around Australia & experience a great sport first hand. In 2015, Field and Game Federation of Australia changed it's name to Sporting Clays Australia, we are committed to developing the discipline of Sporting Clays

Team Managers Report

Clean Sweep of GOLD for Australia.

What a weekend for the Australian Sporting Clays Team at the FITASC Oceania Championships in Wodonga.

After fog forced the cancellation of Day 1, the championship was reduced to 100 targets, with competitors facing a quality set of technical targets that demanded focus from start to finish.

The Australian team rose to the challenge, claiming Gold in every category – Open, Ladies, Juniors, Veterans, Seniors and Masters. A fantastic result and a reflection of the talent, preparation and depth across our squad.

Congratulations to all 19 athletes who pulled on the green and gold. Championships like these are never won by a handful of people – every member of the team played their part in what was an outstanding performance for Australia.

A big thank you to Wodonga Albury Field & Game for hosting the event and working through some challenging conditions to deliver a great Oceania Championships.

As Team Manager, I'm incredibly proud of the way this team competed, supported each other and represented Australia throughout the weekend. It's always special to see hard work rewarded, and this group certainly earned their success.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and good luck to those now setting their sights on Portugal and the World Championships.

🇦🇺🏆

Thats a Wrap on the 2026 FITASC Oceania.

There have been a few technical issues with the internet/Scoring today that stopped the live score upload as it was happening live on line.

Our Scorer has the details with him & these will be uploaded once he has returned home to base.

Attached photos are from the final score board of the Scratch & also the Team placings.

Photos also when our photographer has finished their travels home as well.

Congratulation to John Younger on his High Gun Overall win.

When the gods intervene.

Our heart goes out to the Wodonga/Albury club, the attending competitors and our sponsors that planned for weeks to get to this event.

The club has put their heart and soul into this event with the organisation and the ground setting only for fog to stop the action for what ended up being the whole day.

Just when it looked like clearing in the early afternoon and competitors were sent out the mist decended again making it impossible to see the targets and stopped play.

With a review by the full team on site, the only possible outcome is to reduce the event to 100 targets which allows a fair chance for everyone to finish and make tracks for home on Sunday.

The original 8 grounds have been combined into 4 for the 100 targets. Please see the new map.

Disappointing it is, but the weather is not something us mere mortals are able to control.

Please look at the new time table on SCA Live Scores with first squads scheduled for an 8:00am kick off.
