Women’s pelvic pain impacts 1 in 2 Australian women, but it’s been misunderstood, under-researched, and dismissed for a long time. This workshop offers a holistic and evidence-based approach to pelvic pain from researcher, yoga teacher, and mental health researcher, Dr Jean Byrne!
💫 About Dr Jean Byrne:
A senior yoga teacher, mental health researcher, and provisionally registered psychologist with a PhD in Feminist Theory and Eastern Philosophy. She is a Chief Investigator on several clinical trials and has extensive experience designing pain and mental health interventions and practitioner training programs. She co-founded The Yoga Space with Dr Rob Schutze, delivering evidence-based classes and programs for people living with pain and trauma. Her work is also deeply informed by her own lived experience of neurodivergence, chronic pain and disability recovery.
This event is for anyone experiencing pelvic pain, including those with endometriosis, PMOS, adenomyosis and other related conditions – as well those supporting someone with these conditions, or simply wanting to learn more.
